24.01.2022 The Finals of the State Mixed Pairs were played at Laura on Sunday 13th December 2020. A well contested final was played between Fiona and Simon Hockey from Jamestown versus Steve Clark and Maxine Northcott from BHAS. Steve and Maxine established a significant lead in the middle stages of the game and held out a determine Fiona and Simon in the final ends to go on and win 16 to 11 shots after 15 ends. Well done to both teams for making the final playoff and providing a very entertaining and competative match. Congratulations to Maxine Northcott and Steve Clark from BHAS, they will now go on to represent Region 3 in the Final 16 playoffs for the State Mixed Pairs to be held at McLaren Vale Bowling Club next Sunday 20th December 2020. Good Luck next week.

24.01.2022 NWBA Champion of Champions was held at Laura on Sunday 8th March 2020. Well done to all Club Champions on their qualification for this event. Following a great day of quality bowls the eventual winner and new NWBA Champion of Champions is Geoff Simpson from Jamestown Bowling Club. Runner up was Duane Woods from Gladstone Bowling Club. Congratulation to both players. Geoff was very consistent all day and in the final established a big early lead in a dominate display of draw bowling claimed his first Champion of Champions title. 18.01.2022 The NWBA Chmapionship Fours was played on Sunday 15th March 2020 at Jamestown Bowling Club. This is the first year NWBA has held this event in this format which has replaced the old Association Fours. Winners were BHAS over Crystal Brook in a very tight and tense final, BHAS jumped out to a big 11 to 1 lead however this was quickly reduced to 1 shot and with only a few ends to play the score was 12/11. In the finals ends fortunes exchanged for both with the team holding shot changing almost every bowl. It was a high class game with some outstanding shot play under pressure. BHAS eventually won 15/12. Full results below. Congratulation to BHAS who will now go on to represent NWBA at the Region 3 Championships on Sunday 5th April at BHAS Bowling Club.

15.01.2022 The Region 3 Ladies Champion of Champions play offs were held at the Whyalla Golf Bowling Club last Tuesday. Congratulations go to Sue Burgess representing NWBA for an outstanding win in the singles 21/20, along with the team of Fours in Kay Venning, Maureen Frith, Kay Cox and Agnes Dhu also representing NWBA. It just so happens that they are all from Crystal Brook! Well done ladies! Photos below with Region 3 Ladies Event Manager Kathie Bowman. The pairs and triples ladies couldn't quite get there, but well done for their efforts too!

15.01.2022 The play off for the Blieschke Shield took place yesterday at Laura, and in a tight battle the Blieschke East Melrose team got over the Blieschke West BHAS Red team 36/31 to clinch the Shield. Congratulations to Melrose and well done to all the players involved.

In an exciting final witnessed by an appreciative audience saw the Melrose team get over host team Jamestown by 1 shot with final scores being 10/9. Well done to all of the participating teams. 13.01.2022 In the Wednesday Blieschke Shield competition, BHAS Red defeated Port Pirie Blue 45 - 32 to win the Western pennant, and in the Eastern Division, Melrose proved too good for Orroroo on the day, winning 45 - 28. Congratulations to the respective premiership teams

13.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) Suspension of All Events The NWBA Executive along with the Chair and Secretary of the Match & Program committee met this morning to consider the detailed Important Notice Coronavirus (COVID-10) Memo issued by Bowls SA yesterday. At this meeting it was resolved to support the decision outlined in the directive issued by Bowls SA to suspend all competitions, programs and events immediately. This will include all remaining finals that have been schedu...led. This decision was not made lightly, but was made for the benefit and in the best interest of the broader bowling fraternity. We now ask all clubs to consider the potential impact of the COVID-19 at your own club level, and to put in place strategies to deal with the potential implications and risks involved. 05.01.2022 Region 3 Men's State Pairs Qualifying Sections were played at Port Augusta on Sunday 8th November 2020. There was a total of 24 nominations and 6 Sections. Region 3 has 2 Qualifying places in the Final 16 as a result of the continued support from bowlers in the Region. As the State Event Manager I appreciate the numbers and sincerely thank all those who nominated for the event. Results from last Sunday Section Play are attached. The Knockout playoffs will be played at Port Augusta on Sunday 15th November 2020. The first Knockout will start at 10.00 am with the Qualifying Playoffs to start at 1.00 pm.
