18.01.2022 2017 a special year to commemorate the 75 Anniversary of the Kokoda Campaign

16.01.2022 An opportunity for your consideration. Patrick Lindsay and Paul Croll, very good friends of the Executive Excellence family have invited us to spread the word in relation to a feature length documentary on the Kokoda story. Knowing these two gentlemen personally we have no doubt this will be a truly successful and passionate compilation, featuring our special EE patron of Kids of Kokoda Mr George Palmer. ... Once again for your consideration Executive Excellence (Please see excerpt below from Mr Patrick Lindsay) Our Kokoda Diggers are all in their 90s and they’re fading. We can’t let their stories fade with them. Renowned cameraman Paul Croll and I have started pre-production on a feature-length documentary called Kokoda 75 the spirit lives. It will commemorate next year’s 75th anniversary of Kokoda and explore the spirit of Kokoda, then and how it’s affecting lives today. Given the growing interest among Australians to understand our history, we’re going to crowd fund its production. It’s risky and it’s breaking new ground but I’m hoping there’s a substantial reservoir of potential supporters out there to make it a success. To promote this initiative, we’ll be rolling out a sustained media and social media campaign starting this week. We’re crowdfunding through Creative Partnerships Australia (a Federal Government agency promoting the arts). Through CPA’s Australian Cultural Fund all donations are fully tax deductible. Here’s the link: https://australianculturalfund.org.au//kokoda-the-spirit-/ which includes a video that describes this important project. And here’s a background on it: http://www.flipsnack.com//kokoda-the-spirit-lives-backgrou

14.01.2022 Year 2017, is the 75 Anniversary of the Kokoda Campaign. In the coming months we will remember various events of significance to reflect back on the history of 1942... We acknowledge the loss of Faole Bokoi, 7 March 2016, with a heavy heart and a sense of sadness for the end of an era in Australian and PNG history has been laid to rest. The last living "Fuzzy Wuzzy Angel" whom assisted our brave soldiers, was the connection for trekkers all over the world to the vivid storyte...lling of the history that occurred along the Kokoda track in WWII. Faole Bokoi, a great man who is highly respected. We will always remember him and his great welcoming smile. Cass and I send our heartfelt sympathies to his family, the community of Manari and the people of PNG. May he rest in peace. Cass & John M http://www.tasmaniantimes.com.au//the-unnoticed-death-of-o

09.01.2022 We congratulate the Kokoda Track Foundation on conducting a successful Kids of Kokoda luncheon last week. Special thanks to Michael Usher and Peter FitzSimons for their assistance on the day, as well as Jeff Goward, and to all those who contributed and attended. It was lovely to sit here and see the photos of George Palmer (39th Battalion 1942) enjoying the event, as we know this annual function is something very dear to his heart. We spoke with George this morning and he was very happy. Surrounded by friends and family, George is beaming in all the photos. How good is that.
