18.01.2022 In response to applicants affected by COVID-19 travel restrictions, the Australian Immigration Department has advised that temporary concessions to issue applicant's of certain Family visa's whilst onshore, are expected to come into effect on 27 February 2021. https://executivelawyers.com.au/immigration-law/



08.01.2022 A new definition of coronavirus reduced work period was created that permits applicants of 186 or 187 visa streams, who were impacted by COVID-19, to reduce their total time required to have worked, by the work period they were affected. https://executivelawyers.com.au/immigration-law/

07.01.2022 The Australian Government have yet to enact new COVID-19 concession’s allowing partner visa applicants to remain onshore. 05.01.2022 Changes made to the Business Innovation visa will now require applicant's to hold business assets of $1.25 million, increased from $800,000, and also require the business to have an annual turnover of $750,000, increased from $500,000. https://executivelawyers.com.au/immigration-law/

02.01.2022 In response to COVID-19, Victorian Labor MP, Julian Hill, will introduce a private member's bill next week, which proposes an amendment to the Migration Act, allowing provisional partner visas to be granted, whether the applicant is onshore or offshore. If amended, the changes would stay in effect until December 2021.
