25.01.2022 Great news: as of March 25 Qantas is increasing its domestic carry-on allowance to 10kg for a single bag, up from 7kg. There's still a total two-bag 14kg limit, but if all you need is 8kg-10kg, you can pack just one cabin bag instead of two.

22.01.2022 Once again the WA State Government and the Department of Transport show their bias towards Uber and the taxi industry, completely ignoring the original Charter Vehicle Industry. Today I tried to drop of clients at the new Nelson Ave drop off point in East Perth, only to be met with a traffic management person holding up an Uber sign and he said to me only Uber and taxis past this point I tried to explain I was a CVL (Charter vehicle License) I have CVL number plates, I tri...ed in vein to explain what an On Demand Vehicle was. He radioed ahead and then told me his supervisor had the same info, however I could go ahead and explain to him, mean while my client was feeling awkward and embarrassed. At the next check point I was stopped and again I was asked if I was an Uber or a Taxi and again I tried to explain that I was a Charter Vehicle and I had the right to drop off in this area. This person explained to me that DoT had told them to only allow vehicles displaying the Uber logo or Taxis into the area. The Government wants us to pay additional fees to become Booking Agents and to collect their Taxi buy back levy but does not show us the courtesy of understanding our business model.
