25.01.2022 To Paul and Mark sorry you have to deal with the environmental conditions that Mother Nature has thrown at you Cant wait to see the pics of the frosty conditions, maybe some snow. Know the scanners can go to sub Zero, can you boys??

25.01.2022 Driving from Bolivia Hill to Tenterfield today I noticed a small problem with the rail line. It seems a few of the rail spikes have come loose, Chris Castle, might need some help with this one................

24.01.2022 Pier 2 northern pile cap, pre-cast shell was placed on the Neville Bonner Bridge today. I hear it fit like a glove, well done Al.

23.01.2022 With the piling we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, front pile wall is turning out a lot better than I expected due to the efforts Michael is putting in. Great to see someone take so much pride in their works, it certainly pays off in the back end works. Pre-cast is starting to ramp right up with form, fix and pour starting in a few weeks. Having some issues with flights to get home, nothing some patience and and hour or three in a waiting queue to talk with a Qantas rep doesnt fix.

23.01.2022 This is one of those jobs that never ceases to amaze. From bush fires at ground level, inch thick ice over the surrounding dams to working in the clouds. This is one project that has been implemented at a know black spot that will save lives, great piece of infrastructure and so proud that Exegen are part of something that will make a big difference. To Willie and Bob great work, you guys are part of a team that is making change happen for the better.

23.01.2022 Noise, dust, heat....just another day on the scanners.

22.01.2022 The view is great and to be truthful we havent got tired of it yet, but its the millimetres we all chase every day that make the end result worth while. The pile in position, the pile cap on, the pre-cast beam, form fix and pour it all comes down to chasing the millimetre to ensure the next stage of the construction process will progress. It might sound a little ridiculous but when you place the next piece of the jigsaw puzzle that weighs 30+ tones to within +\- 5mm or dr...ive a 20 tone pile from a floating barge to sub 75mm it feels good. To see the puzzle complete is a pretty good feeling. Its not for everyone, but the team Exegen has is pretty unique and take pride in their work. Bridges, wharves, roads, rail, laser scanning, hydro surveys, resources infrastructure Im pretty privileged to work with a great group of surveyors who are skilled in their craft. See more

20.01.2022 One of the biggest hammers in the world here in Brisbane driving piles at the new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.

19.01.2022 Quick trip out to Orange to lend a hand to Paul & Mark who are on a two week scan campaign. Tuff conditions but they are doing a great job with some great gear, P40 & RTC360. Just looked at the weekly weather forecast and sorry boys I just got busy next week end. Good luck.

19.01.2022 Early bird gets the worm, early scanning means not enough sleep. Luck to have Yoda Harvey the Control Jedi on this scanning project.

19.01.2022 Hard to stay focused when this rolls by.....nice waterslide on the back deck.

16.01.2022 Another marine structure complete, Brisbane’s international cruise terminal. Great to be part of this transport infrastructure project. Can’t wait for Covid to be kicked to the kerb so the ships can roll in.

16.01.2022 Gotta love the weather for the week ahead of getting down and dirty with the laser scanners. Francois Du Bois how low can they go.......this time last year we were in PNG asking the question at the other end of the spectrum.

16.01.2022 And this is what we have to put up with from start to end of drive. Al youll be counting blows in your sleep. Great work. Hey

14.01.2022 First piles for the Neville Bonner Bridge, a pedestrian bridge from Queens Wharf to Southbank. Great piece of construction and architecture for inner City Brisbane that Exegen is excited to be a part of. Nice work Al...

13.01.2022 This would have to be one of the most environmentally diverse places in Australia. We’ve laser scanned here during bush fires, 30+ to 5 degree temps, dust storms and today Mother Nature thought she would up the ante. Today will be interesting.......if you’re a polar bear.

13.01.2022 Travelling light to PNG

12.01.2022 Hard to focus on the job today when the Aussies were warming up for the GP Sail series next weekend in Sydney. Great line up this year, Aussies are the current champions and were looking the goods today. These boats absolutely fly.

12.01.2022 As far as concrete pours go you could say this one is up there.....with the best. Or maybe reaching new heights, perhaps Im stretching the friendship a little.

12.01.2022 Two Stanthorpe roosters looking forward to the Christmas break, positioning the piling gate for the first 12 of 700+ piles. Mick youll be having nightmares about piles.

11.01.2022 Good to have time to look over a great piece of transport infrastructure, Bolivia Hill balanced cantilever bridge on the New England Highway. Caught up with some of the Hale Street Bridge team and great to see them kicking goals here. Pier 1 MFT’s being dismantled and ready for erection on pier 2, southern abutment prepping for piling, northern abutment well under way with wall and base slab pours. Some Bolivia Wattle only found in this region in full bloom. Great work team survey, I know how demanding this type of project can be, awesome effort.

10.01.2022 First piles for the Neville Bonner Bridge, a pedestrian bridge from Queens Wharf to Southbank. Great piece of construction and architecture for inner City Brisbane that Exegen is excited to be a part of. Nice work Al...

10.01.2022 Team USA were making the most of good sailing weather today with Spain, Denmark and the Aussies in the back ground.

09.01.2022 Some challenging control stations.

09.01.2022 The last structural wharf pile driven from the Leanora barge on the Gardens Island Naval Base in Sydney on Wednesday. Over 300 piles driven on program. To Jason and his crew was great working with you all, made a difficult job that little bit easier. Form fix and pour ramping up and will be busy for a few more months to come.

09.01.2022 Now all I need is a cabana chair, pina colada and Kayo sports and this job would be ok.

09.01.2022 One of those days where every muscle seems to twitch, driving piles right beside the south east freeway at Queens Wharf in Brisbane. Great work Al, enjoy that beer in isolation tonight.

06.01.2022 Inching towards 50% of structural wharf piles complete and transitioning to the next phase of works in preparation for pre-cast concrete. Committed team doing a great job and doing it safely.

05.01.2022 Gotta love the weather for the week ahead of getting down and dirty with the laser scanners. Francois Du Bois how low can they go.......this time last year we were in PNG asking the question at the other end of the spectrum.

05.01.2022 We were travelling lightly so Qantas helped lighten our pockets to the tune of $1250 for excess luggage. Big day travelling, finally here and unpacked, its raining so we will see what tomorrow brings. Amazing country side with scattered islands and coral reefs everywhere you turn. If only we packed the fishing rods..... Go the Maroons.

03.01.2022 Another scan job squeezed in before the end of the year, 2000kms, enough gear to sink a battle ship, some insane weather, 150 scans, 50 control stations and 100 scan targets.

03.01.2022 This would have to be one of the most environmentally diverse places in Australia. We’ve laser scanned here during bush fires, 30+ to 5 degree temps, dust storms and today Mother Nature thought she would up the ante. Today will be interesting.......if you’re a polar bear.

02.01.2022 Another marine structure complete, Brisbanes international cruise terminal. Great to be part of this transport infrastructure project. Cant wait for Covid to be kicked to the kerb so the ships can roll in.

01.01.2022 The more technical and challenging the project the greater the satisfaction of knowing you were an integral cog in achieving the end result. Doesnt get much more challenging than a balanced cantilever bridge. Great work Willie and Bob.

01.01.2022 Back in NSW for another scan project. We were here before Christmas and it was blanketed by smoke from the bush fires, today its blanketed by dust. Lucky these country folk have broad shoulders.
