25.01.2022 Please don't drive through floodwaters Regardless if you 'know' the road, if you see it is flooded, turn around and find a different way to get to your des...tination. As rain continues to fall across the Illawarra, South Coast and parts of Metropolitan and Snowy Mountains Districts, the possibility of roads flooding will increase! If it's flooded, forget it. Don’t Drive into Floodwater Don’t Walk into Floodwater Don’t Ride into Floodwater For emergency help in floods and storms, call the NSW SES on 132 500. 24.01.2022 What a cracking tribute to two of our fallen colleagues! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=142947940782126&id=100052007620348

21.01.2022 Would you like to participate? The University of Wollongong is undertaking research into people’s experiences of the 2019-20 bushfires in NSW. This independent research is being undertaken for the Bushfire & Natural Hazards Cooperative Research Centre (www.bnhcrc.com.au) and is being funded by the NSW Rural Fire Service. You are invited to participate in an interview via telephone or video conferencing (e.g. Zoom, Skype) to discuss your experiences of the recent fires. We a...re interested in hearing a range of stories and views from people who were directly and indirectly affected by the fires, including residents and tourists. The results of the study will be used to inform strategies to improve community bushfire safety in NSW. Results will be presented to the NSW RFS, and reports and other publications will be publicly accessible at www.bnhcrc.com.au. We emphasise that participation is voluntary, and your privacy is assured. The interview can be arranged for a day and time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. We will be conducting interviews throughout July and August. Enclosed is a copy of the Participant Information Sheet, which provides more information about the project. If you would like to arrange an interview, or have any questions about the research, please email [email protected] or call Josh Whittaker on 0409 007 842. Please feel free to pass this information on to others who may be interested in participating. Yours sincerely, Dr Josh Whittaker Research Fellow Centre for Environmental Risk Management of Bushfires University of Wollongong Phone: 0409 007 842 Email: [email protected] See more

21.01.2022 We have just heard from Santa and he wants to come for a ride in Exeter 1 on Wednesday the 16th of December! He won't be able to get out of the truck but I'm sure he will have the usual Lollyy bags to throw out the window. We look forward to seeing everyone around the streets in a couple of weeks! Listen out for the siren!

17.01.2022 #exeter and surrounding areas- be prepared overnight.

14.01.2022 Here is a poster of the heroes in the sky that supported ground crews throughout the Black Summer fires of the 19/20 bushfire season. These pilots are absolutely incredible at what they do..... risking their lives to protect others. We wouldn't be able to do what we do on the ground without the support they offer.

12.01.2022 Things are looking much better for us this year. These photos were taken 1 year ago today whilst doing property protection around the Buxton/Balmoral region. Looking outside today it's hard to believe!

12.01.2022 Did you know that leftover rubble from the M1 Pacific Motorway upgrade has been recycled to help save properties and lives? Watch below to find out how

12.01.2022 Something as simple as sharing a pen or a menu, can lead to the spread of COVID-19. Don’t forget to wash your hands to protect you and your loved ones. It’s up to all of us to keep healthy and well. https://www.nsw.gov.au/c/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others

12.01.2022 INFORMATION REGARDING THE INTRODUCTION OF THE BUSH FIRE DANGER PERIOD IN THE WOLLONDILLY AND WINGECARRIBEE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS: This is to advise that the BUSH FIRE DANGER PERIOD for the above areas will come into effect on the 1st OCTOBER 2020.

11.01.2022 Exeter 1 is ready and waiting for Santa to arrive. We will be leaving at 6PM. Listen out for us throughout the village.

11.01.2022 Exeter crews assisted other Brigades and National Parks with the Crawford Rd Hazard reduction burn @ Alpine. A great opportunity for some of our new recruits who gained on ground experience.

10.01.2022 It's that time of the year again! Tomorrow 16/11/2020 the FDR is Very High. All permits are suspended for the day. Remember if you see an unattended fire call 000. By now your properties should be cleaned up from the winter and as bush fire ready as possible. We hope not to see you soon!

09.01.2022 Keep up the good work everyone #COVID19

08.01.2022 Thinking of a career change?

06.01.2022 During tonight's preparation for Santa's arrival at Exeter fire station next Wednesday, Exeter 1 along with multiple other RFS units were called to a structure fire in Robertson. A quick response ensured the fire didn't spread to the house or surrounding bushland. Great work to all involved!

05.01.2022 Santa wanted us to pass on his thanks to all the boys and girls and mum's and dad's who stood in the rain just to see him last night! Unfortunately he couldn't stay long due to his busy schedule! Merry Christmas Exeter..... and once again thankyou for all your support over the last 12 month's. We couldn't do what we do without you all!

04.01.2022 Introducing the latest and greatest firefighters to join Exeter! Congratulations to these 3 for passing their BF assessment today. They are now able to respond with the rest of the crew when required. Great job fellas!
