24.01.2022 S.h.a.r.e. if you think this is a great idea!

24.01.2022 I agree with Jane Goodall...YES we should be planting more trees. We have clear felled too much of Australia, it is horrific to fly away from the coastline to see our cleared out land. Trees are the medicine for our environment, both native and deciduous trees as well. Many of the deciduous trees are more drought hardy than some of the native species, which surprises many people.

23.01.2022 I think this is rather enhanced...but we have seen the most amazing colours this autumn..This has been one of the most beautiful times we have had in this district for years. Trees always reward!

23.01.2022 After 15 years of running plant fairs, we are really forward to our first spring plant fair! We’ll have new growers and an expanded selection of long lost plant...s you can’t find anywhere else. Put the September 26-27, 2020 date in your diary. Same place ~ Hawkesbury Race Club, Clarendon #byebyecovid #collectorsplantfair2020 #allticketsarevalid #springtime #freshstart

23.01.2022 Unfortunately The Collectors Plant Fair has been postponed. The Melbourne Plant and Flower Show has been cancelled. It is a disappointment for everyone, but hopefully everyone will stay well. My family in France told us last night all schools in France will be closed from next Monday....what a time we are living in.

23.01.2022 Bundanoon Garden Ramble this year 26th and 27th October. We will be in the lovely garden of Michael and Marta Mihajlov at 150 Cornwell Road in Exeter...looking forward to seeing you all there.

22.01.2022 Just Remember Everyone....

21.01.2022 Those brave and selfless fire fighters! We salute you.

21.01.2022 Today is the Fete du Muguet in France. Muguet means lily of the valley & for almost 500 years, its been a tradition to give these pretty flowers to those you l...ove, friends and family. It all began in 1561 when King Charles IX was given a sprig on 1st May & thought it such a lovely idea he gave the flowers to all the ladies of the court for May Day the next year & the habit became part of French history... From me to you - happy Fete du Muguet... Photo: Czarina Robert See more

21.01.2022 This beautiful castle is one of the iconic sights in Scotland. We have named our house Eilean Donan but have yet to visit the real thing. Hopefully we can all travel when the Covid crisis is over. Hoping for rain tonight and tomorrow....getting a little dry at the moment.

20.01.2022 We are so lucky that @antique_perennials come up from Healesville Victoria to our fair each Autumn. They are simply brilliant growers of ravishing perennials, the kind that make patchwork scenes like this. #thankyou #seeyousoon #luckyus #perennials # @ The Collectors Plant Fair

20.01.2022 We see so many beautiful things at the Plant Collectors Fair. Great way to have some orchids

19.01.2022 We were so lucky to have met Fergus Garrett and have him inspire us with his garden ideas and techniques. A very generous and passionate person and enjoyed our chats with him at dinner afterwards. Thank you Col Blanch for organising this experience.

19.01.2022 We have been lucky enough to have this Maples for the past 20 years...amazing autumn colour

18.01.2022 Farewell Clive James... as growers of Japanese Maples we were really touched by this. The world has lost another amazing mind and humorist!

18.01.2022 With particular reference to 4th January, which is the night we thought we would lose our nursery, terrifying. The night our friends Durwood and Del Cooley lost their amazing garden but not their wonderful zest for life! A BIG thank you to Zane Gray who arrived at 10.00 on Friday night to help us try and save the nursery. We were so blessed that the weather changed to be so favourable and now we have a drizzle of greatly needed rain today.

18.01.2022 We are at 150 Cornwell Road Exeter for the Ramble, thank you Marta and Michael Mihajlov for letting us set up in your beautiful garden.

17.01.2022 A little stroll around our garden, we have had so much luscious growth this year. Some favourites here, Solomon seal in flower and the last flower on our Camellia minutifolia.

16.01.2022 This is a true nursery dog, doing such a good job!

15.01.2022 These guys are just amazing...helicopters have been flying over our nursery and house for the past two days....We cannot express our gratitude to these wonderful people..

13.01.2022 Maples are amazing in every season...this is autumn but the spring foliage is just as wonderful....easy to see why we love them.

12.01.2022 Bushfires are raging & right now trees that give our Aussie wildlife food & shelter are perishing rapidly. Once the fires clear, we urgently need to restore what has been lost. Adopt a tree and help provide home, food & safety for our precious wildlife.

10.01.2022 We keep trying to show the importance of trees!!! I know this is a "barren" land but we have made it that way.....where are the trees in this photo!

09.01.2022 I dont know why there is not more said about this subject. We have friends whose house was saved in the Black Saturday fires 10 years ago because they had a deciduous garden. Also friends who had their garden destroyed this month in Bundanoon were told by the RFS that the deciduous trees resulted in them still having a house.

09.01.2022 Maples are far tougher than most people realise...they have fared well during the drought in the past year and ours have thrived in our garden with minimal watering. They can also take all our cold weather then produce the most beautiful leaves in spring. They are so interesting in each season.

09.01.2022 There is plenty of room to plant more trees!. I watched Q & A last night...I agreed with the indigenous member of the panel who obviously had great knowledge of the bush, he said there were some native species we should plant and some we should not. We should listen to these experts! Nothing wrong with deciduous and introduced plants as well, many are quite fire resistant as well as being beautiful.

06.01.2022 After 15 years of running plant fairs, we are really forward to our first spring plant fair! Well have new growers and an expanded selection of long lost plant...s you cant find anywhere else. Put the September 26-27, 2020 date in your diary. Same place ~ Hawkesbury Race Club, Clarendon #byebyecovid #collectorsplantfair2020 #allticketsarevalid #springtime #freshstart

06.01.2022 Amazing effort from these people. They have been working non stop and feeling exhausted. We give them a big THANK YOU for their tireless and non stop attention to our area. A ferocious fire.

06.01.2022 The amazing Judi Dench....we have a passion for trees too.

05.01.2022 The one and only Sean Connery!!

05.01.2022 Trees are the bandaids of our planet...we should be planting as many trees as we can. At Exeter Designer Plants we are doing lots of planting....

05.01.2022 Yes, Yes, Yes...come on Nursery Industry, where is your voice. We need to get planting quickly!! This is so obvious..

04.01.2022 This made me giggle

03.01.2022 Not again!. Please let the Firies take a break. I cannot say how sad we are to hear of the 3 American Firefighters killed in the plane crash, just tragic!!!

03.01.2022 I think this is so true and poignant! We should be planting more trees and shrubs. The little birds love hedges and shrubs, gives protection from the larger predatory birds...

01.01.2022 Our garden is a picture at the moment, the Iris reticulata are in bloom, the galanthus has just finished but the miniature camellias are out in full bloom. We have the eastern spinebills here drinking the nectar, what could be nicer.

01.01.2022 We are so lucky that we can grow this beautiful tree in our area. Beech live and thrive for such a long time it truly is a tree for posterity. John has grafted these for our nursery
