10.01.2022 To all my valued clients, I’m terribly sorry I need to provide you with this update. We have started the journey home from Japan, but unfortunately I’m coming home from holidays on crutches. Whilst I don’t know the extent of the injury to my knee until I see an orthopaedic specialist tomorrow, I have been told surgery is likely and I will need to extend my time out of the clinic. At this stage I regrettably need to cancel all appointments booked for the month of February. Wh...en I know the extent of the injury and expected duration of recovery I will update here with my likely return date. Will do my darnedest for a speedy recovery! 10.01.2022 Recovery Update Home again after a textbook knee reconstruction! 2 of the ligaments in my knee are healing well (with a few staples to assist), and the tibia fracture too. I have a brand spanking new ACL screwed in place, courtesy of the peroneus longus tendon from my right ankle. The surgeon assures me it’s a strong graft and I’ll be up and skiing again next season if I stay diligent with rehabilitation. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I’ll be frequenting the spa more than the slopes on future holidays. That said I feel like this has been a long enough holiday for me for some time. I’m expecting to be back in the clinic as of April 20th, all things going to plan, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces again
