24.01.2022 Wow, what a night! Thank you all who attended the official Launch of the Exmouth Business Accelerator Program. It was a great success and enjoyed by Exmouth business owners in celebration with the Founding Partners Woodside North West and Mitsui E & P Australia, community leaders and invited guests. The 3-year sponsorship agreement to the value of $240,000 will fund a full range of program activities and a Project Officer to facilitate the Exmouth Business Accelerator Progr...am. The aim of the Exmouth Business Accelerator Program is to support local business, improve economic viability and increase employment opportunities in Exmouth. Our impromptu poll of businesses on the night indicated Business Planning and Expanding was most pressing, followed by Leadership and Management skills, then Digital Marketing and of course, Social Media know-how. Our local Exmouth business entrepreneurs are resilient, resourceful, and keen to network when the opportunity arises. This is also an important feature of the Exmouth Business Accelerator Program and plans for Business After Hours and regular breakfast meetings are in the pipeline. A special thank you to Senator Michaelia Cash for your video of support, Kyle McGinn MLC speaking on behalf of Alannah MacTiernan and the welcomed attendance of Vince Catania MP Member for North West Central and of course our wonderful MC of the evening Kitty the CEO of Regional Chambers of Commerce & Industry of WA. 20.01.2022 Thank you all who attended last weeks sell out Exmouth Business Accelerator Workshop 6.0 Digital Marketing Health Check, supported by founding partners Woodside North West. We were lucky enough to have Jen from Business Local - RSM Australia presenting the workshop. Jen provided our local businesses with a wealth of knowledge to implement and consider moving forward. Here are a couple of key takeaways to consider for your business:... 1. B2B often use desktops to research and engage with businesses 2. B2C are more likely to use devices, so make sure your website is mobile responsive. 3. Make sure your business is present on Google, 71% of Google traffic is on mobile devices. 4. Use Google my business to target local customers. Select a primary category that drives the most business for you, then add in secondary categories. Make sure you fill in all the sections about your business including images, respond to every review and post regularly. 5. Build backlinks to your website. The best backlinks are .gov .edu, however always make sure they are reputable and relevant to your business. 6. Install Google Analytics on your website 7. Make sure your website is: usable, the speed is fast to load and use, the home page clearly states what you do, its easy to read and answers your visitor's questions and has a clear call to action. 8. Introduce an F&Q page to your website to help with SEO. If you missed the workshop or would like a copy of the digital checklist and presentation please visit: http://bit.ly/3ccNlGd

05.01.2022 Last week guests and Chamber members representing 27 local businesses enjoyed a Business After Hours (BAH) presented by Tattarang and the Ningaloo Lighthouse Project. En route to the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse precinct by coach, our host Jules Bush informed us about the project and on arrival we could gain a perspective of the proposed site. We enjoyed the views, a drink and a gorgeous sunset before heading to the Ningaloo Lighthouse Cafe for some delicious hospitality and a chance to network further. ECCI thanks Tattarang and hopes to make BAH a regular feature in our calendar!
