18.01.2022 The EGFC's Sailfish Shootout is less than a month away, so today we start announcing our prizes and thanking our generous event sponsors who make the event possible. 03.01.2022 The EGFC is proud to introduce a new concept, state-wide swordfish comp for West Aussie anglers. The Search for Swords WA competition will run for 6 months from February 2021, and teams or anglers can enter and fish at any time, anywhere in WA waters throughout this time period. There are two ways to win - either tag the most swords over the 6 month competition period, or break the WA all-tackle record (currently 121.5kgs). With a prize pool of over $5,000 (and still growing...), its a great incentive to go uncover WA's untapped recreational fishery for big swordfish!
