19.01.2022 Over the last 4 days we have had the annual Pilbara Ladies Darts Championship here in Karratha. Representative teams from Carnarvon, Exmouth, Onslow, Karratha/...Dampier, Wickham, Port Hedland, Finucane Island and Newman played in the event with 26 teams across A, B and C Grades. Betty Hislop our current DWA President asked to come up for a part of the weekend to have a look and talk to our associations about DWA. While Betty was here we took the opportunity for her to talk to our dart ladies and our younger players in particular giving them some advice and technique to work on. I am very proud of our younger dart players in the Pilbara, they were engaged and fully focused on the information that Betty provided. On behalf of all of the ladies of the Pilbara I would like to thank Betty and Darts WA for coming up to the Pilbara. Pilbara Ladies Darts Association

18.01.2022 Well home ward bound today. We have had a fantastic time in Karratha for the pilbara championships. We even managed to bring home some trophy’s.

16.01.2022 Hello all my fellow Dart players. Thought ld just check in and see how everyone is going, being in isolation. Hopefully everyone who has a dart board set up are keeping up there practice for when we can get back to playing. Also ld like to wish everyone a happy Easter. 13.01.2022 Evening all - Froggy and I had a chat today about the upcoming Pilbara Championships. We have agreed that we will let things ride out over the next few weeks a...nd see what happens in WA with the COVID-19 virus before making a call if the championships will go ahead. 12.01.2022 Hi everyone Just want to advise that the Ladies Pilbara Championships will not go ahead this year on the June long weekend due to COVID-19. I have just sent an ...email to all association contacts with a proposal of moving them to the next long weekend in September 2020. I have asked the association contact to talk to their members and get feedback regarding this proposal, before discussing with Karratha Dampier Ladies Dart Association. Please initiate contact with your individual Presidents and Secretaries and give them feedback, I have asked them to respond to me by 10 May. All associations need to agree for this to happen, otherwise the next Pilbara Championships will be held in 2021. Cheers Sharon

06.01.2022 Hi everyone - exciting news. All associations have agreed to move the Ladies Pilbara Championship to the long weekend in September. Dates will be 25th to 28th ...September 2020. Venue will be the Searipple room at the Ibis Hotel in the centre of Karratha. I will send an email out to association contacts with nomination forms etc included. There is a risk still that Covid19 may impact us, but we can only hope that with restrictions being partially lifted next week and people behaving themselves that further restrictions will be lifted in the weeks to come and we get back to some normality. We all play a part, do the right thing, maintain social distancing and keep your hygiene up and we will all get through it. Bring it on
