06.01.2022 A Polite Request to all Kitesurfers, Wind Wingers and windsurfers It's been great to see so many old and new faces enjoying Exmouths wind the last few weeks, what a great start to the season it has been. We are definitely seeing way more numbers on the water this season. With the increase in numbers we are starting to get a few complaints from the local community about the use of Wobiri Beach. We have been watching and seeing that unfortunately general etiquette is being br...eached quite often at this location. It's important that all wind users understand that Wobiri has always been the goto for Local and travelling families and learner surfers. We have been getting increasing reports of kitesurfer's in particular kiting between surfers and people swimming. Obviously anywhere else in the world including your home beach this is totally unacceptable so we are asking anyone who is doing this to stop but also for anyone watching this happening to help us educate. We don't have Flagged areas or specific rules stated in Exmouth, its part of the charm and appeal of the place to everyone, however understand that the actions of a few could bring about zoning, bans and rules to an area that really only requires common sense to manage. In short I am reaching out to you all to help us by not kiting upwind of, through or anywhere near swimmers or surfers at Wobiri. If you are kiting here please launch at least 50m upwind of the swimming and surf zone and head out to sea staying permanently clear of all surfers and swimmers. There are so many great spots to kite along our awesome coastline, if you need help picking one or understanding the locations please feel free to get in touch. PLEASE SHARE ANYWHERE YOUY FEEL APPROPRIATE.
