23.01.2022 If you've ever thought about visiting a Bible Study, but have felt a little awkward or out of place in doing so, then this is the Bible Study for you! Its super relaxed, casual and is more of a discussion than a one way show. We have no necessary portion of the Bible to work through each night, which means we're super flexible. We just go with the flow and where the Spirit leads us. We learn, laugh, grow, eat, cry (very rarely, thank God!), and enjoy each others company as God's children. Please do come. You have my word you'll enjoy it -Evan

17.01.2022 As we walk towards our permanent home, we wanted to pause a moment and thank you, each and every one of you. The last few weeks have been Exodus’ wildest ride on the service roller coaster ride in our twenty year history! Through our wonderful supporters, the reality of purchasing a permanent home for Exodus is coming into vision. We have dreamt of this event, we have served faithfully in the wilderness for twenty years. But God is good and has moved the hearts of people to c...ome to our aid in allowing Exodus to enter the promised land with a home of their own. God knows who you are, and He knows your hearts. On behalf of the staff and on the people and families we serve thank you for hearing God’s voice and being directed to donate to Exodus for our new home. A home that will see this service into the future. A future of providing support, programs and community based services for our community. We are entering the promised land, and it will secure this vital service to many more families to come. Thank you for coming on this journey with us through the wilderness to the promised land! Debbie Armanious Director Currently Exodus is providing: Crisis accommodation, Counselling, Individual case work support, addiction support, Mental health support, Families in crisis, Domestic and family violence support, Job readiness programs and community support to THOUSANDS of people each year.

16.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: With the ever-evolving climate of CIVID-19, Exodus is having to constantly review all our practices, programs and plans each day. As a result, please be advised of the following changes: 1. Connect meeting on Monday night is being temporarily suspended until further notice. ... 2. Tuesday night Bible study and Thursday night art therapy remain suspended until further notice 3. All other services provided by Exodus will continue to operate within strict COVID-19 safe practices and procedures in place. Please reach out to Exodus if you need any support from us, namely with case management services, family support/intervention or counselling. Please do not attend our centre unannounced under any circumstances. If you wish to visit the centre for any reason, please make contact with a staff member prior to coming to ensure safety measures are in place and that we are not over numbers. On a much happier note, wed like to formally welcome Evan Kadaras as the newest staff member of the Exodus family! Evan started today as a caseworker with Exodus, bringing very valuable experience to Exodus as a social worker from the NGO sector. We were eagerly awaiting Evans arrival and are so excited to have him with us. As always, thanks to all our supporters and donors who continue to generously carry us during these difficult times, and allowing us to do what we do. Thank you!!!
16.01.2022 H.G. Bishop Anba Suriel has not only put together an amazing interview with Deb and Kiro for his podcast, Coffee with Bishop Suriel , H.G. has also published a powerful and engaging reflection on their conversation with CopticNN. We are all so grateful for H.G.s time, support, advocacy and encouragement. Please take a moment to have a look at his amazing article and share it with your friends and family to show our support! Thank you all! https://www.copticnn.com/2070-exodus-taking-jesus-to-the-d/
16.01.2022 Sometimes people ask us what it's like working at Exodus... Some days are tougher than others but sometimes you put a call out on social media for gifts for sick kids and by the next day you've got so many they don't fit under the tree... Thank you all so much for showing us the real spirit of Christmas! Hope and Love from all of us THANK YOU!!! . #christmas #spiritofchristmas #giving #givingtuesday @givingtuesdayaus #grateful #amazing #love #wow
15.01.2022 Take a moment to help out St Lukes, a great church with an amazing and welcoming community spirit!

14.01.2022 Evan's mind blowing discovery! Evan was eating an Oreo after Liturgy and noticed it had 12 little Coptic Crosses all around its perimeter, and a Russian looking Crucifix and Orb in the centre. Evan decided to do a little research and found the following:... "Nabisco's (the company that makes Oreos) trademark is a diagonal ellipse with a series of antenna-like lines protruding from the top ("Orb and Cross" orGlobus cruciger). It forms the base of its logo and can be seen imprinted on Oreo cookies, in addition to Nabisco product boxes and literature. The company has claimed in promotional material that it is an early European symbol for quality. It may be derived from a medieval Italian printer's mark that represented"the triumph of the moral and spiritual over the evil and the material",or it might represent"Christ's redemption of the world"or the act of winnowing, separating grain from chaff..." Evan is now convinced Oreos are Orthodox... Mind blown...
14.01.2022 Volunteer Spotlight (we love our volunteers!!) - Sabrina Karzon My name is Sabrina Karzon. I studied Medical Science at the University of Wollongong but I’m currently seeking new career options. I enjoy gaming, TV shows and drawing. What do I do here?... I’m here to be a helping hand. I help cater for the Connect Meeting on Monday nights. I assist the staff with general tasks around the centre and maintain their caffeine intake. What do I like? The staff here at Exodus are like one big family. They made me feel welcome on my very first day here and continue to be a source of support. Exodus instills a sense of belonging no matter who you are and where you come from. What do I hope to get out of it? I hope to gain more friendships and build the necessary skills to maintain and develop many more relationships. Being at Exodus has already shown me that everyone is unique and can belong in a diverse community. #volunteer #jobsatisfaction #community #friendship #coffee #unique #diverse #thankyou
14.01.2022 A few weeks ago the AMAZING people at Kellyville Kitchens and Luxurious Bathrooms generously donated a brand new kitchen to our clients Daniela and her son David in their new home! Their home has also been very generously offered to us by one of our incredible community members. It is so wonderful and inspiring to see people coming together, even in times such as these, to support the people who need it. Here is a little reminder of Daniela and Davids journey so far. Thank you so much to everyone involved, youve given the gift of a safe and happy home to two people who really deserve it! #community #support #grateful #women #families

07.01.2022 For it is in GIVING that we RECEIVE St Francis of Assisi We wish we could tell you about all the people we have supported this year. People you know, people in your community, in your family, your friends and even the clergy have all come through our doors this year needing support. And YOU have made it all possible. You have brought families together, you have offered young people the chance upskill themselves and gain employment, you have allowed people with serious trau...ma to receive free counselling, you have given jobs to the unemployable, you have given a place for the dispossessed to belong, you have rescued women and children from physical and emotional abuse by offering them a safe home and legal support, you have educated, counselled, supported and most importantly LOVED everyone that needed it this year. So THANK YOU for your unending and incredibly generous donations this year, from us and the whole community! As the Holy Family sought refuge and safety on that first Christmas, we humbly ask you to find it in your hearts to make one more donation this year, so that we can offer that same refuge and safety to every family, For it is in giving that we receive. Thank you and Merry Christmas from all of us at Exodus Youth Worx! Please donate via our website- www.exodusyouthworx.org.au/take-action Or direct deposit BSB: 112-879 Account Number: 465556041 PS. 05.01.2022 GET TO KNOW OUR SPEAKER FOR THIS SUNDAY. Our speaker this week is dubbed as our very own "Mother Teresa. Deborah Armanious. Deborah can be summed up in two w...ords. A perpetual philanthropist . There is no limit to anything this woman does to try to make our world a better place to live. Deborah is the founder of Exodus Youth Works starting over 20 years ago from a small connection service in a park to what is now known as the not for profit organisation of Exodus , helping hundreds of people in the greater community. She is a Pioneer in service to South Africa and has been a prominent missionary to this area serving the "poorer than poor" and starting an orphanage among many other services. Deborah is a mentor to all, she has transformed the lives of many youth of all generations throughout her service. She is our token Non Egyptian spending years learning the ins and outs of our community and having to deal with almost every aspect of it, the good and the not so good . Deborahs love to the Lord Jesus is emulated in her never ending willingness to always go the extra mile to serve His creation and bring them closer to Him. It is only fitting that someone who serves the outside world so fervently talk to us about How does the outside world see me. Sunday at 6.30pm #stabraampeakhurst #whoami #myidentity
04.01.2022 Recently H.G. Bishop Suriel conducted an amazing and inspiring interview with Debbie and Kiro. His research and skill in interviewing really resonated with us and allowed us to reflect on 20 years of work within the community and most importantly Gods hand in this service We are so grateful to His Grace for his time, support and encouragement for our service. How wonderful it is to share Christ with others. We have been blessed. Please take a moment to have a look at the t...railer, full video coming soon!
