It’s important not to over water them 2. Put 1/2 inch - 1 inch of pebbles at the bottom of the pot. It acts as drainage for the pot and will keep the water away from the roots... 3. Understand what type of light your plant likes by doing some research when you buy your plant. If your plant is lanky or has paler foliage, it may be an indication that it’s not getting enough light.
