23.01.2022 Did you know: The Bogey Hole was originally known as the Commandants Bath? The pool was perilously cut by hand into the rock platform by convicts, under the o...rders of Commandant Morisset, who wanted it for his personal use. Today the Bogey Hole ocean pool is an Instagrammers dream, and a 'must see' for all visitors. instagram.com/_bebetterthanyesterday_ - Thank you for sharing this amazing pic.
23.01.2022 This gorgeous shot was captured by the PlacesWeSwim team on one of their recent road trips "Last week we took our first road trip as a family of three and hea...d up to the Lake Mac region @visitlakemac @ourlakemac (an hour and a half north of Sydney) to explore some new swims. "First stop was Ghosties Beach, between Catherine Hill Bay and Munmorah State Conservation Area. Access to the beach is on foot via the Moonee Beach Trail, which takes you to the sandy shoreline of Moonee Beach. Here you can spend the day swimming and snorkelling around the turquoise waters, or relax in the protected rockpools as colourful paragliders fly overhead (like so). "At the south end of the beach, around Flat Rock Point, is Ghosties Beach, a large ocean cove and sandstone sea cave that you can walk through at low tide only. Make sure to check the tide times before you go. The beauty of these unpatrolled beaches is a private, isolated feeling." + @placesweswim via IG.

Once used to transport coal by train from the mines in Lake Macquarie to the Port of Newcastle, the track is now a favourite for those looking to head outside and get active.
