17.01.2022 We @smallplanetcafe are aware that many of you like to share our meals, so this Friday we thought we would make it easier for you by having a Spanish tapas nigh...t. Tapas are a traditional Spanish bar food made for sharing. We have collected ten delicious tapas we think you will love! For a minimum charge of $16 you get to choose four serves of any of the dishes from our list below. Then it's just $4 for every extra serve. Simple! Our list; Tortilla Espanola. No tapas meal is complete without this eggy potato and onion dish. (GF) Patatas Bravas. Fried potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce. Another classic.(VG) (GF) Vegetable paella. What defines Spanish food more than paella? (VG) (GF) Andalusian chickpeas and Spinach. A peasant dish that reflects the Arab influence in Spanish cuisine, but a very popular tapas. (VG) A selection of roasted fennel and orange olives, grilled Red capsicum and fried green chilies. A great accompaniment to the other dishes. (VG) (GF) Russian potato salad. Yes, Russian! A left over from one of the countless European wars that is still very popular in Spain. (GF) Cheese Empanadas. Very popular in South America, and just as popular in the country they came from! Broccoli and Romesco sauce. Fresh broccoli served with a classic tapas tomato sauce. (VG) Garlic mushrooms. Simple but delicious. (VG) (GF) Albondigas de lentejas. Lentil balls in a tomato sauce. A classic tapas, given a veg twist. This week's cakes include Mexican chocolate, lemon polenta (GF) and nutmeg spice cake. Also vegan fruit and nut slice. Please get your orders in by Wednesday evening. VG = vegan GF = gluten free As us about any other dietary requirements you have.

07.01.2022 Daylight saving begins this weekend. Clocks will officially be turned forward an hour at 2am Sunday morning. Of course most people will find it easier to simply... turn their clocks forward before they go to bed Saturday night. Phones should adjust automatically, as long as the automatic network time and time zone settings are on but if it’s critical to be out of bed at a particular hour on Sunday, it may be time to drag out the old alarm clock to make sure.
