24.01.2022 For our friends who are spending more time at home at the moment, or homeschooling older children this is a great opportunity to tune into the daily animal feedings at the SeaLife Aquarium.

22.01.2022 John and I have been busy creating a new ‘Truck Track’ small group play area where the orchard and chicken coup used to be. We are looking forward to seeing how the children enjoy it. We have repurposed a tractor tyre for the roundabout and the bridge of the old cubby, and it was great timing that Miss Tammy spotted these signs at Big W.

19.01.2022 As we are about to close for the year we want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and safe holiday period. It's been an emotional week farewelling out preschoolers in particular and some long long term families - some of you are into long service leave! Thanks for another great year to all of you, and also to our educators as they head off on their well-deserved breaks. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year - from the 8th Jan onwards.... Enjoy your Christmas!

18.01.2022 Looking for a great day out in the holidays ...

14.01.2022 We look forward to welcoming new families and our returning families back to the centre from tomorrow. Our classrooms are all set up with engaging learning environments ready for the children.

12.01.2022 We hope you have all had a fabulous Father’s Day celebration today. It was a such gorgeous sunny day to be out and active with your family.

11.01.2022 Maggie Dent is a fabulous speaker and expert in raising resilient children and teens. You might be interested in this online event if you have older boys in your household.

09.01.2022 Today was a celebration of Sari! We are so blessed to have long term committed team members and this week we see Sari celebrating her 10 year anniversary at Explore & Develop Wamberal. This is such a great achievement in any business or sector and we appreciate our long term staff and the knowledge and commitment they bring. Sari has been my right hand man all of those years, we work well together in our small office, and I don’t think we have ever actually had an argument ...(that I can think of anyway - but Sari might be able to). We are a bit like yin and yang with different skill sets which compliment each other. Sari is our 5th team member to reach this great milestone. The 7th January also marks our centre’s anniversary and we are commencing our 13th year in our business. Thank you to the Explore & Develop Support Office for the gorgeous flowers which arrived yesterday. Thank you also to the local community who have supported our business for all of these years. John and I truly appreciate all of the referrals you give friends and family over the years, and the long term commitment from families who have been with us for 7, 8, 10 and even 12 years with 2, 3 or 4 siblings all attending the service. We appreciate you!

08.01.2022 On Tuesday we farewelled Kayla who has been volunteering with us on Thursdays for nearly 4 years. Kayla is moving on to a drama program on Thursdays as she has a love of acting and dancing. We have been so proud of Kayla and her growth over the 4 years she has been working with us, she has bonded with our team and children, and the pride and confidence she has developed being part of a working team is just beautiful. Kayla's continued presence in our service (with her supp...ort person Bree), has helped us build on our philosophy to teach the children acceptance and diversity of all people in our community. Kayla lives with Down's Syndrome, but she still volunteers with us, works in a pizza shop, performs with a dancing troupe, acts in commercials and movies, so there is no stopping her. She is a bright spark and soon to be a star, with a new TV commercial about to hit our screens. We thank Bree also who has been coming with Kayla for the past two years, she has been a great support, helping Kayla initiate craft activities, supporting interactions with children in her fabulous positive manner. We wish her all the best for the birth of her baby mid year. Thank you and good luck to you Kayla!

03.01.2022 Such a good read.

02.01.2022 There is a great parent resource attached put together by Stone & Sprocket about home learning with tips about care, creativity and connection for parents and children alike. Some fantastic ideas - and it's great to keep in mind this is a marathon not a sprint, so be kind to yourselves as parents by finding ways to connect and have learning fun and engaging part of your day rather than a chore. Stone & Sprocket also have some behaviour guidance check in sessions for parent...s - each week, Director Rebecca Thompson meets with families online to discuss the current challenges we are facing with regard to guiding children through crisis. The check in sessions are 1 hour from 8.30pm-9.30pm on a week night. Check their Facebook page for dates. Stone & Sprocket https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track

02.01.2022 Many of you have been hearing about our new cubby from your children but haven’t yet seen it, so I thought I’d share a pic. Thanks to Aaron’s Outdoir for helping us with this new resource. Aarons Outdoor

02.01.2022 Yesterday our Koalas educator team created a beautiful high tea experience with British music, herbal tea, petite sweets along with fruit and savoury dip and crackers as the culmination of their learning about England. The children were so respectful of the lovely setting, the ambience created and enjoyed their warm tea and their special high tea experience.

02.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day - from us to you.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to Miss Andrea who recently completed her Diploma in Children’s Services studies. It takes commitment and dedication to work full time, have a family, and complete a qualification like Diploma as well in your own time, so we acknowledge our educators who manage it. Andrea is a valued member of the Bilbies team, and it is great to see her use her knowledge of early childhood education to scaffold children’s learning, create engaging environments and document children’s learning. Well done Andrea!

01.01.2022 Another years graduation celebration went off without a hitch last night. It’s exciting to see the children so ready for the next step in their lives and families celebrating together. We farewell some families who have been with us for nearly as long as we’ve been open (thanks Monique for a great parent speech) and for other families it was their first graduation and eldest child about to head off to school. Thanks to Mel and Nicole for creating a night to remember, and for their work and commitment throughout the year. We are so proud to have been a part of your child’s learning journey through their early years.
