07.01.2022 Day 10 - 13 of the Remote Oombulgurri Adventure You know these 3 days are some of the most amazing of the 15 day adventure. The King George River is phenomenal & the surrounding area is covered in stunning centuries old rock art. ... Towering Gwion art & other galleries at Python Pool make this a truly special point of interest of the journey. Together with the presentations of traditional culture & the connection with these artworks to country and insight in traditional Law offer just a few things you'll take away from these few days; trust us it will leave a profound impact on you. Not to mention, Emu Creek is just down the road and a bloody good spot to camp. By this time of the journey were backed off soaking up all the countryside has to offer, leisurely swims are the norm! Great camps await us!

07.01.2022 Under 200 days & we'll be back to one of the best camps in Northern Australia. Catch dinner down the bottom, fire cranking up the top & stunning sunset colours beaming across the landscape. Yeehaaah #oombi21...

06.01.2022 You know its close to Christmas in WA when every sandgropers favourite flowering tree pops in vivid colour. : Moodjar / Nuytsia Floribunda

05.01.2022 The roads sealed. While it is a catch 22 it will be a good thing for traditional owners up there. #kimberley #westernaustralia

05.01.2022 Who's had a memorable camp out in 2020? We're glad to of been able to get out & about after the shutown, but its been a rollercoaster of a year! We were lucky to get a few great nights in under canvas with some amazing people. Throw up your best night away in 2020!

05.01.2022 Day 14 & 15 of the remote Oombulgurri Adventure Its mixed senses of sadness, jubilation & the fact of knowing you conquered pushing in the Oombi track at the start of the season. Its a mean feat & everyone will have a new found appreciation for chainsaws, axes, good food, good company & one hell of a time off-road! ... The sight of gravel tracks nearing Carson River Station feels more akin to a city highway after bouncing our way over, through and across the wild East Kimberley Landscape for the last 2 weeks. One final nights camp on the banks of the Drysdale River remains and it is a fitting place to do so. Its also one of our favorites and the perfect place to reflect on the journey. The mixed emotions come out in tales of the times we have had. Every trip is different, every group is different but the resounding feature is that of accomplishment; and "can we turn back now and do the whole bloody thing again? " There really is nothing else like the Oombulgurri journey both as a 4wd adventure, as a test of endurance , resilience and preparedness too. The people you meet, stories you share , culture & traditional knowledge you have access to is second to none. This trip will back every claim made about it & there is nothing more authentic in the Kimberley than pushing in the Oombi at the start of the season! Its the reason we see so many people back for the next season; there is just nothing else like it! Contact us for more info on the Oombulgurri trip run in May as we open up the track with Just Over the Hills Ronald Morgan & Family. We hope you have enjoyed the insights over the last week or so. Massive respect to the whole Balanggara Mob ; your country is breathtaking & we thank you for the chance to experience it in this way.

Not only was this the home to an awesome second night's camp, it also set the stage for one of the best night skys we've ever seen. 1400km 3 day round trip with some great people & whole lot of laughs along the way....
