25.01.2022 WHO ARE YOU? Can you summarise in a sentence or two exactly what it is that you do? Can you identify where the Value is in your business? What are you really selling?

24.01.2022 Mood Board Magic...just some inspiration for a Saturday.

21.01.2022 . # This method was developed by Brian Dean of Backlinko. Broken down into three steps, the skyscraper technique involves: Finding link-worthy content... Creating something better Sharing what you’ve written # However good your content is, you'll find that whatever ranks well now won't rank well forever. Even if you climb to the top, over time it goes down. So once a year, take your most popular content pieces and update them. # The question is: how do you stand out from everybody else? I'm saying what can you do? Where can you have a unique point-of-view? How can you do something different so that it’s remarkable and makes people start to talk about you? One way is being consistent, think Gary V and Neil Patel. They are relentless and we haven't missed one daily episode in years. # ’ In 2020 and beyond, video is going to be the mainstream content platform that people are going after, so make sure you start producing videos. # Make sure that you tackle your content output with an omnichannel approach, an omni-presence approach, content repurposing approach, whatever you want to call it. So you might create a webinar first, then turn it into a blog post, into one long video, into a series of short videos, etc. that you can then post on Instagram and other social networks. # / Headlines are the secret sauce to getting more clicks, shares, and (ultimately) sales. The reason you want to use this tool is because since a lot of your traffic will come from Google, you should be A/B testing your headlines to make sure that they stand out. # Domain Overview Top SEO Pages Keyword Suggestions Content Ideas Backlink Data

17.01.2022 If your business is going to keep up, you’ve got to wrap your marketing plan and strategy around what consumers will continue to value as the coronavirus crisis evolves. Anyone who has hosted a game night over video chat or ordered groceries to be delivered at home for the first time understands how profoundly the COVID-19 crisis has changed our behavior as consumers. But which of these changes will stick? We see several that are key:... Flight to online Shock to loyalty Need for hygiene transparency Back to basics and value Rise of the homebody economy As you probably know there have been changes in consumer behavior, and business owners who want to stay ahead will need to adjust their strategies and execution to adapt to the new norms, So what are you seeing as the sands of business shift, in your industry?

16.01.2022 DO YOU CHECK ON YOUR COMPETITORS? #1 - The first thing I always check when visiting a competitor’s site is whether or not they have an active Facebook pixel. This simple snippet of code allows companies to capture website visitors’ information in order to target them with ads afterward. It’s traffic that has already entered the sales funnel and is ripe to convert. To install a FB pixel on your site, follow these instructions. https://bit.ly/3ck6Z1n... # 2 - To check if your competitors have a pixel installed, simply download ‘Facebook Pixel Helper’ while using your Google Chrome browser. https://bit.ly/2RMGVTb

15.01.2022 The Importance of Brand Consistency What should brand consistency involve? Here are some of the basic elements that should remain the same for all your online content, whether it’s your website, your blog, email, social media, or some other platform, so that your audience can have the same experience, no matter where they go. Logo ... A logo is arguably the most memorable piece of a brand’s collateral. Even if someone can’t quite recall your brand name, they’re likely to remember that visual cue associated with it. Colors Tiffany Box You know branding is done well when seeing certain colors immediately calls to mind a particular brand even when those brands’ names are nowhere nearby. A good color scheme can go a long way. Tone and Voice What does your brand sound like? Are you irreverent? Silly? Professional? Academic? All of the above? This may actually fluctuate somewhat between channels. Emails may be more formal, and social media may be more casual. That’s totally fine! But there should still be a unifying factor; a blanket mission statement or mantra that all content adheres to. Images The images you share, regardless of the platform, should take into account all of the above points. This means they should reflect the tone your brand has set out for itself, follow a color palette and include your brand’s logo. Domain Name This one seems simple right? But you’d be surprised how often domain name selection can go wrong. Your domain name should be well aligned with the brand itself, and it needs to be easy for your customers to find. Branded Links A branded link is a shortened URL built around a brand name (or related term) that helps associate the company with the links, content, and information they share online. Simply put, it’s a shorter version of a URL that showcases your company name. At the end of the day, it’s consumers that build brands- not companies.

10.01.2022 Identify and build relationships with micro-influencers. You can then gift your product or a low-cost high-value service for them to try. The agreement is that they provide free exposure and free content for your brand in return. When it comes to influencer marketing I always dedicate about three hours to find the right influencer for a brand. The reason we focus on micro influences is they have very powerful engaged niche communities that are often a lot more focused on a ni...che than just the general broader community, which is often the case with more macro influences. Look for around five to 50,000 followers in size because they're also the most likely to be willing to post your product simply in return for gifting. 09.01.2022 Want to know how to get more quality leads by optimising your homepage website design? What’s worse than spending a chunk of time and money on your website design, and not getting a constant stream of quality leads who are ready to buy from you? NOTHING! Having a website that doesn’t work for you is incredibly frustrating, and costly. Just getting people to your website is challenging enough. Once they’re there you want to make sure that the right people are taking action, gi...ving you the opportunity to make a difference to their lives with your product or service that’s why you’re in business, right? In our experience, there are a few key mistakes business owners make when it comes to their website homepage: You don’t say exactly what you do and who you do it for You don’t show your ideal clients that you understand them and their needs You don’t set yourself up appropriately as the best solution to their problems You don’t give them a clear picture of how you can help them You don’t make it easy for them to take action and engage with you further Ultimately this means is you don’t capture and maintain the attention of your ideal customers, so you lose them from your site and they keep searching for solutions with your competitors.

09.01.2022 Start feeding your email list! Now you may think Nothing new here but fact is most people do this really badly. You should be emailing your list at least once time a week to stay front of mind and to keep your list up to date with information that will benefit them.... It also helps to keep your database healthy in terms of deliverability and getting your emails into people's inbox. You should be routinely looking at the deliverability of your emails and keeping your list clean by deleting hard bounces. Email is it's basically a free marketing strategy, especially if you have under 2,000 people on your list you can find free email providers. Have some automated flows set up including welcome emails and sequences for lead magnet downloads. We find most welcome emails get around 50% open rate which is around 20 to 30 percent above industry standard. The aim is to grow your relationship by giving great information and converting as many new email subscribers as possible. For eCommerce set up abandoned cart emails that educate people on your top products. There is an art to writing these emails, so my biggest tip here is to have a professional writer do these for you. The cost fades in terms of the conversion you will see. #marketing2021 #emailmarketingcampaigns

08.01.2022 During a consulting session with an innovative start-up recently, I was reminded of one of many analogies for business development the rock, gravel, sand approach. The rocks in a glass represent the big objectives, the gravel, the tactics and the sand, the minutiae of daily business answering emails, making calls, ticking off the to do list. The founders I work with are often waist high in sand, sometimes of the quicksand variety. They're bogged down in the endless details.... There can be no #businessgrowth of any worth told from this place. Were they anchored to their biggest rockpurpose, they'd wouldn't be spinning their wheels to exit the mud. They wouldn't get stuck in the first place. Purposeful marketing is an all knowing guide toward strategic focus and prioritised implementation. Articulate your purpose, understand your principles the operating framework for achieving your purpose and marketing and you must discount anything that gets in the road of moving toward it. More than the wasted effort to heave yourself out the bog, it's the lack of distance travelled toward your desired reality that counts more. Only when you're moving forward deliberately on purpose, can you tell your story that attracts and motivates your people to action. This we put into practice many times when we build brands and in the way we build website for our client ...check out our recent work like this one for www.rlinvilleconstruction.com

07.01.2022 Not Being Live: Last year live podcasting made $55 million and is set to rise this year. Putting on live events that involve your podcast is a great way to engage with your audience and breed loyal listeners.

07.01.2022 -? OK, so contact-less shopping is a major feature of our 'WIP'-normal. Much as we crave normality, it's far from decided whether it's old, new, borrowed, or blue. In the meantime, digital tools are booming, whether its video, e-commerce, or home-office gear. It's a gold rush to the long spruiked digital revolution.... But where does that leave us as humans? Looking for a business with heart? As an intensely social species, it's recognised that the waves of isolations and distancing affect our mental well-being. We need to belong to a safe, trusted circle. Sharing stories, giving each other support, and a hug. The point is not to let the obvious efficiencies of digital commerce, mask (sorry!) our primal, social instincts. Because sooner or later they'll re-surface, and as in nature, be all the more powerful if suppressed. The answer - is thinking of your customers, not as cold transactions, but warm relationships. Not as a spreadsheet, but a community. Where you have conversations, collaborate on issues, seize opportunities to pivot, reinvent, and make life better for all. How do you have a heart in business? We can help. PM me if you'd like to know more.

05.01.2022 Branding is an elusive concept that leaves many people scratching their heads. If you Google the definition, you’re going to end up with a diverse range of answers. Branding is about building a complete s...tory As a brand, it’s important to define something your customer wants, because as soon as we define something our customer wants, we pose a story question in the mind of the customer: Can this brand really help me get what I want? 03.01.2022 If you want your business’ sales process to run as efficiently as possible, you absolutely must get your marketing funnel the process of converting a visitor or browser into a paying customer right. Some business owners are moving away from the term marketing funnel because they think it’s too mechanical or simplistic to describe the lead nurturing sequence by which customers move from awareness to purchase. I think it’s still a useful way to describe a complex process and it’s a good visual to imagine the entire process from start to finish.

01.01.2022 How does colour psychology affect branding? So let's say you decide you'd like a turquoise in your palette; you just need to find the right tone of turquoise for your season. If your business is spring, you'll be looking for a soft, warm colour with clarity. It'll pop with life, energy and personality. A summer turquoise will also be soft and delicate, but it'll have a hint of coolness about it, a grey undertone. It'll feel classy, elegant and slow. An autumn turquoise will be warm, intense and muted. It'll feel substantial - even at a paler tone - and it'll feel rich, earthy and solid. A winter turquoise might be icy, it could be supersaturated. Either way, it's going to be cool, clear and intense. It'll feel luxurious, sophisticated, confident.
