25.01.2022 Have a great Queens Birthday long weekend!

24.01.2022 Yes indeed, have a great Friday and Weekend :)

22.01.2022 Did you know that a record of testing results must be kept until the electrical equipment is next tested, permanently removed from the workplace or disposed of? If you need your electrical equipment tested, please give Vishal a call on 0433 359 868

21.01.2022 Happy Easter! Hope the Easter Bunny was good to you.

21.01.2022 Now that the cooler weather is setting in and the heaters are coming out, its time to get all your winter appliances at home and at the office tested and tagged. Call Vishal on 0433 359 868 to book yours in today

20.01.2022 Coloured Test Tags. In NSW it is a WorkCover requirement for all businesses that operate on construction sites to use colour coded test tags. For all other industries it is not a requirement but the coding could be useful. Coloured test tags are used to identify at a glance the period in which an appliance was last tested.... All businesses in NSW have a duty of care to their staff & electrical testing and tagging of appliances helps minimise managers risk of fines and imprisonment arising from a breach of electrical safety laws. Electrical testing and tagging of appliances also helps to keep your insurance premiums low. I am fully committed to helping you comply with your obligations under the WHS Act, give me a call today.

20.01.2022 Heard of an unbelievable situation at company in NZ. Didnt think after record WH&S fine of $3.4M at Pike River Mines, that any NZ company would put profits before safety. Here is a major NZ manufacturer of mobile telecommunications equipment with thousands of employees with hostile environments, where staff safety is being put on the back burner.... Trying to determine whether its intentional or just lack of awareness and understanding of electrical safety standards (and the reason for them to save staff from possible electrocution). Think its a situation where internal staff members are trained and certified as taggers (where they simply dont have the knowledge and experience of testing in different environments and situations, and cannot act independently without consequence. They could be shit scared of failing devices that may delay production schedules costing the company $$$, or testing too often again affecting productivity). Electrical safety is a serious business, after all lives are on the line. What shocked me, is 5-year tags were put on all the equipment. (dont even know if everything was tested). Hostile environments must be 6 months. The only devices that should be 5 years are devices and that never move like office printers and photocopiers. Desktop PC actually move every few years during inter departmental moves, and these days most staff have notebooks, where even the base stations move every month or so. When faced with a decision around testing frequency, taggers should look at a lower test frequency, rather than a higher one. That way new devices are covered and tested after the 6 month (new period), high risk hostile manufacturing environment are tested every year 6 months. Operational downstream testing of RCDs are covered within the 12 month retest period. If 50% are tested every 6 months, or 25% every 3 months or 8.33% every month, productivity wont be adversely affected, ie in a permanent testing capability. Testing would become a function that is part of a companies life blood, constantly focused on electrical safety in the workplace, saving lives. Express Test & Tag service proactively records test data so that any degradation of test results can be identified and highlighted to the customer, recommending that devices are taken out service (fixed, or replaced, and successfully retested before putting them back into service. Focus on Electrical Safety First = Lives Saved, PERIOD.

19.01.2022 Did you know that we generally find that 1.5% to 2% of all appliances that we test are not safe. Most of these faulty appliances have the potential to cause electric shock, electrocution, or electrical fire. Dont take the risk, give Vishal a call today to get your appliances tested.

15.01.2022 If during a job interview you ask a simple question what do you think about electrical safety in the workplace and the employer answers I think its a waste of time and money - to Test, I would strongly suggest DONT WORK FOR THAT EMPLOYEER, as they have no concern for YOUR safety in their WORKPLACE. If you are concerned about your employees electrical safety, then I suggest you show them you care and ring 1300 EXPRESS and ask for a no obligation quote.

14.01.2022 Dont forget to set the clocks! Daylight savings will end in NSW tomorrow morning when the clocks go back one hour at 3am.

14.01.2022 Time and time again, we see damaged electrical cords around the home, home office, office and worksite. One excuse we hear often is that there is not enough time to visually inspect each and every cord. Well the good news is, we do have the time to inspect each cord and we will thouroughly test each one also. The health and safety of you and your employees depend on it. Give Vishal a call today on 0433 359 868 and book in.

14.01.2022 Happy Valentines Day! A day not just for couples but a day to tell everyone we love just how much we care about them.

11.01.2022 Did you know that it is a standard Work, Health & Safety (WHS) procedure to have all electrical equipment tested & tagged & that this even extends to mobile phone chargers & any other similar hand held electronic device? Dont take the risk, ensure your worksite is safe as it can possibly be. https://safetyupdate.wordpress.com//185-worker-fatalities/

10.01.2022 Friday the 13th, also known as Black Friday in some countries, is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition. Its not known for certain how the superstition surrounding this day arose, but the probable story is that both Friday and the number 13 were traditionally considered unlucky because of their connection with the crucifixion of Christ (Friday being the day the crucifixion took place and was commemorated weekly in Catholic practice, and 13 being the number of people present at the last supper). Do you have any superstitions, if so what are they? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th

07.01.2022 More fires (especially in the winter) start in the bedroom, than anywhere else in the house. The fire service recommends that you test all electrical devices in your bedroom including any electric blankets which are the source of most fires. http://www.fire.nsw.gov.au/page.php?id=289

06.01.2022 Happy Easter Long Weekend!

05.01.2022 Do you have a small business or home office? Then dont forget to check and change the battery in your smoke alarm. http://www.fire.nsw.gov.au/page.php?id=80

04.01.2022 Safety Tip: Ensure that all cordless kettles are tested regularly and that there is an RCD upstream of the kettle. Without an RCD, nor regular testing of RCD and kettle they are potential death traps for children and the elderly in particular. Any water on the base plug will cause a short. If you happen to have you hand on a wet bench, you will be electrocuted. A downstream RCD (if working correctly will trip the RCD, and while you will lose power on the affected circuits res...etting the RCD will restore power. Make sure you make the area safe first and unplug and remove kettle.

02.01.2022 Im taking ROI (Registrations of Interest), for a new advertising service. Not related to Express, its against my own brand. There are no royalties, its a business lease, with a share of income, and a share of the sale price (tba). The least cost of entry essentially just covers costs is $1k +GST. Comes with a 20% share of income.... Other options - lower income sharing expense are $2k +GST (10% share of income) or $4k +GST (5% share of income). You get instant income, and assuming 100% fulfilment of advertising your income after costs will be around $100k (+/- $15k depending on options and due diligence of advertising income per ad, size, prominence, colour. Its vital that you do a structured due diligence, which qualify, quantify and justify the ad costs against similar publications. I will help you with the information you need to get. As Express Franchisees or Franchisors we know was doesnt work with Express. The aim of this service is to negate the negatives and emphasise the positives. There are no expenses without income. Let me know if you are interested to find out more. Next steps are: 1. If you want to Register an Interest please send me an email. 2. 02.01.2022 "Like" if you are heading back to a 4 day work week.

01.01.2022 Now that Winter has set in, ensure you get all your electricals checked, especially things like those under desk or at home heaters.

01.01.2022 Why test & tag you ask? * To provide a safe workplace - as an employer, you have a duty of care to ensure that employees and visitors to your workplace are safe from injury and risk to health. * To comply with OH & S regulations - Under the new WHS Act, Australian Standards 3760 and 3012, every business is required to maintain all electrical equipment and appliances. * For Insurance To obtain an OH & S risk management documentation. Preventing injury and keeping your insurance premiums down. If you need further information or advice, give Vishal a call today
