25.01.2022 I love a zip front top because it allows you to choose your own neckline. It's a subtle design device that flatters every bust size and puts the power in your hands. Images from Birdsnest + Witchery

25.01.2022 Styling is what turns a plain outfit into a great one. Agne Jagelaviciute deliberately chose a plain outfit. Then she got experimenting; added accessories, styled her hair, added make up, adjusted the clothes to balance her body's proportions. And voila an amazing outfit.... Ange says "Beneath the clothes are our personalities, and they are beyond compare to any casual or formal, fancy clothes, our personality expressed fully is what is unique and amazing." 21.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 6. No matter how perfectly a garment matches your vision of style, if it doesn’t suit your body type it does not deserve a spot on your body. So, instead of grappling with or trying to fit yourself into generic apple/pear body shape guides, (of course use them as a springboard if you wish) go ahead and create your own rules. Try on different fits from your closet or borrow a few clothes from friends, take pictures, examine them and then write a list of what works and doesn't for yourself.

19.01.2022 When you don’t like your body visually, it feels natural to put a hold on developing or crafting your style and give up. Here’s the problem. When you do this, your personal style feels underwhelming, you feel flat, therefore you limit opportunities that could help you look and feel amazing. In this video, I offer a simple alternative path you can take and achieve styling success.

19.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 4. A mood board is a blank canvas that you can explore different combinations of elements on to see how well they work together, without having to buy or commit to anything. Your challenge over the next 2 days is to create a physical mood board of clothes, accessories, a look, colours you'd love to wear but aren't wearing yet. Gather some magazines, or print out pictures you see online. Cut them out and decide which to put on the space you have available, and hang your board up on the wall, to be a visual reminder of where you and your style are heading.

17.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 3. Write down all the outfits your wore over the past week - even if you wore pyjamas all day :) - Play and have some fun upgrading those daily looks..... Experiment with the little details. Try simple things... think rolling up the cuffs of sleeves, cuffing your pants, tucking in tops at the waist on one side, tying knots on dress hemlines, etc. And yes try it out with PJ's . The idea is to build up an arsenal of styling tricks that reflect your personal style. With a little bit of practice and experimentation you'll be taking a plain outfit and making it exciting!

16.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 7. It maybe a colour you love, for example yellow, but don't ever wear it. Borrow from a friend or family member, you don't have to go out and buy something. Notice how you feel, responses and any thoughts that pop in.

14.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 9. Which six items (apparel, accessories) would you buy if you had an unlimited budget? Let your imagination run free and go beyond all limitations in this thought experiment, the assumption of no monetary restrictions may kindle your creativity and help you image your ideal style and wardrobe contents.... Tell me about your items in the comments :)

12.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 8. Go through each item in your underwear drawer and throw out anything that is broken, worn out or no longer fits well. Replace with a few new pieces if need be.

11.01.2022 FIRST IMPRESSIONS As your appearance is what others see first, the clothes you choose to wear have a big impact on how you are perceived by others, particularly when you meet people for the first time.

09.01.2022 One reason that adds to decision fatigue when deciding what to wear. Imagine walking into your favourite clothing store. The clothes are displayed on hangers of different sizes, different materials, all of different colours. It would be a topsy-turvy site! The odds are high that you'd walk out with nothing in hand.... For some of my clients, their wardrobe is it made up of a variety of hanger types? We've together discovered that this has contributed to their stress levels when getting dressed, because it's hard to see things clearly which adds to I don't know what to wear! Sometimes really simple changes have a big impact, and changing your hangers so they are all the same, is one of those things. TOP TIP Purchase 40-42cm velvet slim line hangers for all your tops and 30cm soft clip hangers for your pants. @theorganisedhome

07.01.2022 Have you found clothes you like, then try them on and they fit ok but don't fit your body to lift your look? There is an easy fix to elevate your style. Find a good tailor. Proportions are key to looking chic, and every well-dressed woman knows that she can rely on her tailor to perfect her look. For shorter women it can be worth having the tailor raise the waist on dresses or reduce the crotch on pants, but there are other minor tweaks that can be done too, like altering a ...neckline to be more flattering to your face and neck, or bringing in the shoulders of a jacket or blouse ever so slightly for a premium fit. 07.01.2022 Hair Tip: A quick fix Haven't been able to get to the hairdresser for a colour lately? Try Bumble and Bumble's colour stick - instantly hides grey hair and touches up root growth.

02.01.2022 Style Confidence Challenge - Task 10. Sometimes it is easier to be creative when you can start from scratch. Image all of your clothes were lost in a fire.
