01.01.2022 Here at Eye Can C we are committed to the health and safety of our patients and clients, and would like to detail the measures that we are implementing to play our part in the containment of the Coronavirus whilst still remaining open to serve our clients and community. We are following very closely the advice of the Australian Government, the Department of Health, and Optometry Australia. At this stage it has not been suggested that optometry services should be discontinued.... However like elsewhere the advice remains that anyone feeling unwell, has been overseas in the past 14 days or has been in contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case should not attend our practice and should contact their doctor. Measures we are taking: Installed a perspex shield on the "slit lamp" which is the instrument used for checking eye health. All contact surfaces will be disinfected between patients. Our optometrists will wear a face mask and gloves during you examination. Our staff will practice the necessary social distancing of 1.5m. Frames will be wiped down and disinfected after trying on.
