23.01.2022 I'd like to thank my optometrists, Thomas Bolton, Margaret Graham, Cana Xu and all of my staff who worked through the Covid 19 period, supplying continuous face to face emergency services to our patients and telehealth to help allay patients vision concerns when they didn't feel comfortable to come in and see us. We are celebrating 65 years of continuous optometry service to our community and 33 years of me being part of that service. We are proud that we were able to stay op...en over this time. We have had to adapt over the last couple of months with temporary closure of our Stockland practice but we are now up and fully operational at our Wharf St, Stockland and Tea Gardens practices. We have closed our Tuncurry practice not because of Covid 19 but in anticipation of an exciting new super practice we intend to build over the next 12-18 months. Look out for news on this in the future. Thanks to all the locals for supporting the small local businesses over this time. Our motto is "Locals Caring For Locals" and we thank you all for supporting us and all the other small businesses in our town that help build such a great community. www.rolfeoptometrists.com.au

21.01.2022 Hi John. Just looked at my competitors. Specsavers owned by billionaire husband and wife living in the tax haven of the Guernsey islands paid less than 1% of their turnover in tax and Luxottica (think OPSM, laubman and Pank, budget specs and Sunglass hut)owned by the second richest man in Italy paid just over1% . Now more than ever we need to spend our money and stimulus package on small local Australian businesses. We don't want our stimulus going overseas.

17.01.2022 In these challenging times we want to tell you that we are still available for urgent or emergency consultations. We have had to temporarily closed our Tuncurry and Stockland locations but we are available Monday to Friday from 9am-2pm at our Wharf Street Forster practice and at Tea Gardens on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am-4pm. For emergency eye and spectacle issues. Please call us on 6554 7817 to arrange an appointment. We are more than happy to help. Stay safe & well from the Team at Eyecare Plus Forster and Tea Gardens. #localscaringforlocals

15.01.2022 Do you have enough contact lenses to get you through the next few months. We don't think there will be a supply problem with contact lenses but we suggest that you get a few extra lenses just in case. We are offering a 20% discount on lenses if you buy a 6 month supply and these can be delivered to your door at no extra charge. If you wear Total 1 or Precision 1 spherical daily disposable better news still, Alcon are offering a $90 cash back to get you through these tough times. If you wear a Coopervision lens they are currently offering a $50 cash back at this time. Be prepared, Contact your local Eyecare Plus office to order today. http://www.rolfeoptometrists.com.au/contact-us/

14.01.2022 Our staff at The Junction are getting the best of both worlds. They get to enjoy a Christmas carol singer today and help raise funds for the Royal Fire Service. Enjoy.

13.01.2022 With 88 years of experience between us we have seen it all. Eye tests are more than a 15 minute quick letter chart test. That’s why we spend the time to thoroug...hly examine your eyes. We call it Checkup Plus. For years we have invested in the latest testing equipment that helps in the early detection of eye disease like glaucoma, macula degeneration and cataract. Why would you go anywhere else when you can trust a local. Come in and see Dale, Margaret, Tom or Cana at one of our 4 convenient locations. #localscaringforlocals See more

13.01.2022 TO ALL OUR PATIENTS: We’ve always considered our practice to be neat and clean. In fact we pride ourselves on it. A lot of the sanitizing we do happens behind the scenes, and before and after each consultation. Due to current health concerns please don't be surprised to see more of this cleaning occurring whilst you are visiting us. WHAT CAN YOU DO?... Besides the recommendation of regular hand washing, we are asking if you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, or recent international travel, please let us know and postpone your appointment a few weeks. We will still be here to look after you then, and the patients who visit us in the interim, as well as our staff, will appreciate your thoughtfulness. We are asking patients to wash their hands on site with the optometrist prior to being seen and also before and after handling spectacle frames. We have removed magazines and children's toys from waiting room areas and are leaving our front door open to save patients from having to touch door handles. We are also trying to see just one patient at a time to reduce the risk of cross contamination. We believe that our optometry practice will be one of the safest places to visit over this time if we all take some simple extra care. Thankyou for your support over this time.

03.01.2022 Why not make the Christmas present perfect. The best sunnies in the world.

01.01.2022 Don’t be fooled by the multi-nationals with their super slick advertising. We have been offering our loyal local patients a complimentary second pair of glasses for ten years now. Better still when you support a local you help other locals through our support of local clubs and charities. Why would you go anywhere else when you can trust a local. #localscaringforlocals
