24.01.2022 Are you a diabetic? This is why you need a regular eye test.

23.01.2022 Full-time Optometrist Position Newcastle/ Swansea We have a full time position split between our practices at Swansea and The Junction. This position would suit recent graduates or experienced optometrists. We are looking for passionate and dedicated optometrists to join our modern practices and friendly teams. We are a member of Eyecare Plus which is a group that supplies support to independent optometrists. It is a group of 160, winning the Canstar 5 star award for patie...nt satisfaction for the last 3 years in a row. The group holds regular face to face training and has an annual conference or boot camp where optometrists are encouraged to attend. Our own group of 10 practices with 10 optometrists has an annual Rolfe Group optometry conference over a weekend. So we have a great environment for inter colleague connection and support. We promote our practices as leaders in Optometry and being regionally based this allows up to practice full scope optometry from high incidence of eye disease detection, glaucoma co management, macula degeneration co management and treatment of dry eye disease. We are fully equipped with modern equipment including a retinal camera at every location, automated visual field analysers, automated corneal topographers, 4 in 1 (autorefractor, tonometer, pachymeter, keratometer), and OCT. The Junction runs a dry eye clinic with Bleph X, Blephsteam and IPL equipment. Contact Details: Name: Don Granger | Email: [email protected] | Phone: 0407 485 028

09.01.2022 Do you have irritated, sore, gritty eyes? You may have dry eye?

08.01.2022 I'd like to thank my optometrists, Thomas Bolton, Margaret Graham, Cana Xu and all of my staff who worked through the Covid 19 period, supplying continuous face to face emergency services to our patients and telehealth to help allay patients vision concerns when they didn't feel comfortable to come in and see us. We are celebrating 65 years of continuous optometry service to our community and 33 years of me being part of that service. We are proud that we were able to stay op...en over this time. We have had to adapt over the last couple of months with temporary closure of our Stockland practice but we are now up and fully operational at our Wharf St, Stockland and Tea Gardens practices. We have closed our Tuncurry practice not because of Covid 19 but in anticipation of an exciting new super practice we intend to build over the next 12-18 months. Look out for news on this in the future. Thanks to all the locals for supporting the small local businesses over this time. Our motto is "Locals Caring For Locals" and we thank you all for supporting us and all the other small businesses in our town that help build such a great community. www.rolfeoptometrists.com.au

07.01.2022 Hi John. Just looked at my competitors. Specsavers owned by billionaire husband and wife living in the tax haven of the Guernsey islands paid less than 1% of their turnover in tax and Luxottica (think OPSM, laubman and Pank, budget specs and Sunglass hut)owned by the second richest man in Italy paid just over1% . Now more than ever we need to spend our money and stimulus package on small local Australian businesses. We don't want our stimulus going overseas.

05.01.2022 We are currently offering 50% off a second pair of glasses. That's right 50% off both frame and lenses. So if you are in a Health Fund their is no better time to use this years rebate. If you don't use it you lose it. Come in before December 31 and use this years rebate on a new style, prescription sunglasses or just a spare pair. Make an appointment at https://www.rolfeoptometrists.com.au/contact-us/bookappt/
