While we like to chat about different things with our patients at times, this question is strictly business as strange as it might seem. We are hoping the corona virus worry blows over soon and we are trying to do our part in the countrys effort.

10.01.2022 Are your kids eyes nice and clear in the morning but a little more red by the evening? Does this cycle seem to be a daily occurrence? These days of sheltering... in place, binge watching shows, gaming and yes, online schooling often translate into lots and lots of SCREEN-TIME! When ever we do close up work our normal blink rate goes from around 15 to 5 blinks per minute. This causes dryness and after a full day of this redness. The best solution is to put the technology down and play; especially if it can be outdoors now that the weather is getting better. 06.01.2022 We have a new big TerraCycle Eyewear Zero Waste box here at Eyecare Plus Glen Forrest that anyone from the community is welcome to use. Now you can recycle broken glasses and any type of eyewear that had to be tossed in the rubbish beforehand. Soft contact lenses and every bit of their packaging can be recycled as well in the TerraCycle Contact Lenses/Packaging Zero Waste box. We still accept donations of glasses for the Recycle for Sight Program with Lions Clubs Australia... if they are obsolete for you but still have some life in them where they will be serviced and donated in an underserved part of the world. And we are able to see to repairs of broken glasses that you need and re-using your own frames with new lenses to get more use out of them. Join us in minimising our environmental impact.
