25.01.2022 Don't lose sight of what matters- 2 in 100 Australians will develop Glaucoma in their lifetime, a life altering eye disease that causes irreversible vision loss. The loss of sight is usually gradual and a considerable amount of peripheral (side) vision may be lost before you realise there is a problem. Early detection and treatment can save your sight. Detection of eye disease is part of an Eyecare Plus Checkup Plus eye examination. Contact your Eyecare PlusWollongong on4227 2557or text 0411374419to book an appointment.

24.01.2022 High energy, short-wavelength blue light scatters more than other visible light. Reducing some of the blue light from digital devices will generally reduce glare, improve contrast and may improve comfort and reduce eye fatigue. 1) Screen display settings for blue light control "Blue Light Filter" setting on your smartphone... "Night Shift mode" on your iPad, iPhone or iPod 2) Spectacle lenses with blue light control Blue light reduction can be achieved with special antiglare blue filter lens coatings/materials, Transitions photochromatic lenses and sunglasses. Leading lens technology is available from our lens suppliers including Essilor, Zeiss, Hoya and Shamir. There can be different reasons for digital eye strain and a blue light filter is not always the solution. A comprehensive eye exam is important for accurate diagnosis of eye conditions and appropriate treatments. . . #optometry #optometrist #wollongong #loveyoureyes #sharing #getyoureyeschecked #love
