Weve all overcome so many personal and professional struggles to get to where we are right now For me, Ive gone from single mum, driving my new baby around in a tiny Lancer 2 door, starting a career in my shitty spare bedroom, to a full on dream realised... of having my beauty own salon, and a happy place for us all to come to work.... Thats the aim of the game for me, a happy place, not a money driven business For so many years I put up with jobs I hated, dreaded going to work, just to make an income. I was constantly struggling with depression and frustration, until one day something just clicked and I knew, this was the thing for me... and I ran with it. If something makes you feel that miserable, take action and make the change! Your mental health is SO important. Do the things that spark joy for you, that create that burning passion... If it makes you feel sick, because youre excited/anxious for the change... Then youre probably on the RIGHT path for exciting GROWTH ahead. I know that feeling all too well, and sometimes, you just have to dive in Today is R U OK Day, think about your own mental state. Are you happy? Content with life? Want to change something? If so, dont think of it as a massive change to be made. Create baby steps to get you headed in the right direction, so it doesnt seem like a massive feat to get to where you need to be. Think of it as, when youre in an airplane, and the flight attendant tells you in an emergency situation, that you MUST put on your OWN oxygen mask before helping others... You too must take care of yourself first, before you can really help others. So check in with friends/family today, and any day, to make sure theyre OK, but always remember Self Care first. Youre the one who is going to create your own happiness... figure out what that looks like, and then hustle like fuck with the universe to make it happen R U OKAY? April xx
