16.01.2022 Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina Patagonia is 30km in length and about 74 m above sea level (total ice depth of 170 m). This is equivalent to a 23 story building. Nature freakin' amazes me. I photographed this incredible Glacier this time last year and I still lose my breathe looking at this mass of water and ice.

16.01.2022 Beautiful winter weather to get married and a beautiful couple.

15.01.2022 Meet the beautiful Solomon & Fiona :) I photographed their wedding 10 years ago and again now on their 10th wedding anniversary. It was so divine to see their love so strong and still making each other laugh. Solomon brought his ukulele to play and Fiona sang. This moment was when I cried. Fiona had kept their vows and a letter she had written to Solomon on their wedding day which she shared with him and he gave her an eternity ring which was attached to a frog figurine. Why not :). Such beautiful souls.

13.01.2022 Love this family to bits BUT I want to share the difficulty I had photographing them. I did achieve getting a couple of normal photos right at the beginning and then it just deteriorated from there. The father Dimitri decided to start singing the Greek National Anthem you will be able to pick which photo this happened in, then they decided that it would be a good look to put seeweed down their pants. A bit of a merkin look. Then when I asked what they wont miss about their daughter Chloe when she moves to London to live - Dimitri starts explaining Chloes' toileting habits - you will pick this photo as well. Still LOVE this family to bits and love their photos because this is who they are.

13.01.2022 Just have to share my little achievements this week-end from the QLD Professional Photography Awards. A couple of people have asked which images were mine. I entered Alternate Processing with 4 Cyanotypes which 2 had been shot using pin hole and the other 2 were hand coloured. 4 silvers overall. Happy Jan smile emoticon This weekend I was also a finalist at Head On Photography Awards held in Sydney with my Washing line image from Varanasi India. Another little Happy Jan moment. Maybe a glass of wine is deserved.

09.01.2022 A few years ago I photographed a beautiful family of 6, Mum, Dad and 4 children all happy and healthy. The father Matthew Ames has now written a book 'Will to Live' which tells of his amazing, courageous story in which he had his limbs amputated in a desperate attempt to stay alive. Certainly worth a read. Very inspiring man.
