24.01.2022 Clarence Dargan cleanup and rebuild. Weekends used to help rebuild communities. #scotthowe #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #veteran #homelessness #asqueforhelp

24.01.2022 I heard a wonderful act of generosity and kindness yesterday. A young girl with a full-time job in a cafe, overheard her boss telling the young European female on a work / study visa she would have to let her go as there was not enough work. With no way to get home, no school, and no permanent place to stay or ability to pay rent, the young girl was stranded. The young full-time employee interjected, and asked the boss to sack her, and keep the stranded girl on! She felt that... her situation was less dire than her work colleagues. Please share any act of kindness you perform or you hear someone else has because kindness and compassion is infectious! Lets drown COVID-19 out with our own version of infectious and life changing! Please #eyesfrontcharity and #wellnessleaders and any other community organisation or #personsname so we can spread the love!

24.01.2022 Eyes Front was established as a formal charity in March 2019. So far we have appointed over ten Wellness Leaders, taken a group to Canada for an Adaptive Snow Sports Program, handed out countless number of care packs to the homeless, helped declutter some social housing and so much more. In 2019 we were very thankful to the Cumberland RSL Sub branch who believed in us enough to sponsor our Veteran Radio program. 23.01.2022 Another wonderful day with VISAS.

22.01.2022 Police on the beat education people about social distancing. I wish the Minister would ensure they had face masks and gloves! They could very well be carrying and our homeless are already the most vulnerable! #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #kellieghjackson #homeless #veterans #kelliegh99

21.01.2022 An update on our Homeless at Woolloomooloo. They are scared! There are no masks for them and no way to isolate themselves from others or in fact the Police so it seems. Three Police approached a homeless man today, without masks on, exposing him to goodness knows what. They may be strong and healthy with good immune systems but our homeless are not! #Marcelkronenberg has opted to stay (sleep) on the street with the community he serves answering their questions and reassuring ...them. Today a kind soul donated $100. Marcel is going to make sure he uses it wisely for the 50 or so who are now sleeping rough. It is needed more than ever with food vans reducing their service. What do we need PLEASE: About 50 face masks if anyone is a wiz on the sewing machine or has a stash. Sleeping bag, blankets, socks, beanies and fingerless gloves. Bags of non-perishables like biscuits, baked beans, tinned fruit and so forth. Drop and go, Marcel will take charge of it. If you want to help call 0408 079 385 or email [email protected]. #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #vulnerable #homeless #veterans

20.01.2022 My 'car' was exploding yesterday after I met with Danu and Wendy who are the amazing ladies who run the Magic Room. What is the Magic Room you ask? Well it is the space below a block of units, used by tenants to place things either other tenants may be able to use, to find things they may need, with the overflow being donated to charities like us. We (Marcel my trusty helper) and myself do a pick up about once a month. So far we have handed out loads of books, CDs, DVD,s, cl...othes, bedding, and other handy items from this room to the homeless and social housing residents of the Woolloomooloo precinct. If you want to know how to start your own magic room in your building or neighbourhood, please contact us so we can introduce you to Wendy and Danu - PS. they won a Community Award for their efforts with this room.

19.01.2022 Due to the large response to the masks. At this stage we have sold out. We will let you know if we are getting more. Orders are being sent out today and tomorrow. We apologise for the delay but we have only just received the masks. Thank you to everyone. We Will Remember Them 'Lest We Forget' face masks for sale. These little beauties are racing out the door. Through the process of selling the masks we have spoken to so many wonderful and inspiring people. We also found two... terminally ill veterans we are hoping we can help with a 'wish fulfilled'. Stay posted. Here is the new poster and updated payment options. PS: Legacy are also selling them for the same price on their website and we have agreed to split the funds raised to help them keep their promises to veteran families. Order your mask now. #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #peteshefford #terminalillness #livinglifetothefull #facemasks #lestweforget #wewillrememberthem #legacynsw

07.01.2022 Message from the Woolloomooloo vulnerable population precinct manager and Super Duper Wellness Leader #marcelkronenberg. To the charities and community organisations that attend Woolloomooloo with food, clothes and other items for rough sleepers and the homeless. Please don't stop coming! Yes we are worried about Corona Virus, but we already feel isolated so don't abandon us! Please keep coming as we enjoy your company. We would just ask that you observe all of the normal pre...cautions of masks, gloves and if you're feeling unwell, stay home. If you can pre-pack things for us to reduce the need to congregate for long periods, and to fill the gaps between meals, that would be amazing. Also, it is wet and cold so we could use some socks, beanies, blankets, and tracksuit pants / hoodies / jumpers. If you have a spare mask at home, please bring it along for the 50 +/- of us sleeping rough. We will encourage our community to observe distances and physical contact. Most of all, a massive thanks for taking care and not forgetting about us. If you wish to donate or help out please email: [email protected] #marcelkronenberg #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleader #vulnerablepopulations #homeless #roughsleepers

06.01.2022 Thank you to all of the people who supported our raffle. It has now been drawn and we would like to announce the winners of the wonderful prizes. #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #veterans #VISAS #WASPS #adaptivesnowsports

05.01.2022 #marcelkronenberg #germanaussie #wellnessleaders for #eyesfrontcharity on the front line sleeping rough making sure the homeless are cared for.

04.01.2022 A beautiful burial for Paul today one of the characters from Woolloomooloo. He will be sadly missed by his mum Sylvia and the community around him. May he Rest In Peace and be restored to full health and happiness.

03.01.2022 Ombudsman reparation payments due to end on 30 June 2021. According to their website your claim must be submitted by that date to be considered for a financial reparation payment.

02.01.2022 Yesterday we did ice cream and today we handed out much needed blankets, jeans shirts and shorts. We’re in desperate need of men’s shoes please.

02.01.2022 PLEASE HELP: This man hasn't stopped! Please send massive thanks to the most amazing #WellnessLeader #MarcelKronenberg who is making sure those sleeping on the streets have a few basic items. When no-one else is able to leave their home, Marcel is on the street, helping the community even though he was there himself only a short time ago. Worse still, the jails have released prisoners to the street, with no housing and no way to isolate. If you can spare a few dollars for a sleeping bag, clean socks, a raincoat, blanket, please send them our way so Marcel can make sure these guys stay warm and dry. PM for details. We are a registered charity. #eyesfrontcharity #vulnerable #homeless #roughsleepers

01.01.2022 Warning happy and confronting comments to follow: EyesFront were at Woolloomooloo supporting the homeless and vulnerable today by handing out iceblocks, smiles ...and genuine loving kindness. They also had books, DVDs and blankets which came from the Magic room in Erskineville! Marcel Kronenberg was Eyes Front Woolloomooloo Wellness Leader (with assistance from many of the community who themselves line up for support) handing out bags of food lovingly prepared and donated by a group in and around Epping. This group has been supporting another charity for years. Unfortunately due to petty nonsense which escalated to a point where there wasn’t enough food for the homeless last week, the Epping group have asked us to support them to continue the food service they have been providing. I can happily say everyone received a fresh meal, fruit, snacks and drink today amd we had leftovers. Then the other food service turned up! Wow, the names we were called behind closed hands the looks we were given and all without one word of kindness or cooperation! It was a turf war in their minds! They should be ashamed and although it is well known and the behaviour of the founder rejected to ACNC for misappropriation, people continue to turn up and wear their brand. There’s a great saying: bad things happen, bad people rise to the top and have been known to commit terrible crimes and indescribable things when other people choose to turn a blind eye or fail to do anything! Doing nothing to stop them is as bad as supporting them! Shame! The charity space is unfortunately riddled with people who appear to do things for the wrong reasons and who forget the primary reason they are there. Or who remain committed even when they know the leadership is toxic and the values non-existent! They also fail to recognise how much the volunteers also require their needs addressed! This is rife in every charitable space including the veteran ex service community. I’m shocked the amount of assistance that is there and how little gets to the people who need it! Precisely because the management and volunteers seem to disappear up there own backsides! My challenge to anyone wanting to do charitable work is: 1. Do what you love, remember why you do it and everyone will benefit 2. Respect the community you wish to serve - they are people with a name and need more than just a feed 3. Respect the community you serve with as they have their own struggles 4. If there’s petty rivalries and you’re bitching about someone else or being judgemental or unkind then it’s time you took a long hard look at yourself! Well done today Marcel and team you did yourselves and us proud. #eyesfrontcharity #wellnessleaders #veteranshomelessness
