18.01.2022 Today is World Sight Day. World Sight Day is an international day of awareness held each October to focus attention on the global issue of eye health. In Australia, approximately 90% of vision loss and blindness is preventable or treatable and can be attributed to five main conditions - refractive error, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataract and glaucoma. All of these conditions are detectable through a comprehensive eye examination.... If you or a family member are due for a routine eye test, today is the day to tick it off your list and book in! Visit >> https://www.eyesonoxford.com.au/book-a-consultation to book online. #worldsightday #wsd2020 #hopeinsight

13.01.2022 Like our skin, the colour of our eyes is determined by the amount of pigment, or melanin within the iris. The more melanin, the darker the eyes. The less melanin present, the lighter the eyes. Eye colour can change slightly for some people as they age, but this should be a gradual transition. Any sudden colour changes in one or both eyes can can be a sign of a serious eye disease such as Fuch's heterochromic iridocyclitis, Horner's syndrome, or pigmentary glaucoma. Amazing artwork by @hmdbti on Instagram.

12.01.2022 As OT Week is wrapping up we wanted to take the time to thank our Occupational Therapist, Kimi, for all her hard work and commitment to helping children reach their full potential. Also, there is still time to enter our OT Week playdough art competition! See our previous post for all the details. #ThisIsOT #OTWeek2020
