11.01.2022 Attention parents and school leavers We know that 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone - none more so than our Year 12 students who have sadly missed out on a lot of milestone moments in their final year of schooling. We understand many school leavers will be looking forward to celebrating the end of this huge year with their friends, however, these celebrations must be held in a safe and responsible way that also adheres to the Chief Health Officers Directions.... While the majority of schoolies do the right thing, we do see a small number of school leavers involved in dangerous or anti social behaviour. The focus for police will be on ensuring a safe environment for everyone, including school leavers, local residents and the broader community. Police will not tolerate those who break the law or engage in anti-social and riotous behaviour that puts the safety of others at risk, including our own officers. #StaySafe

08.01.2022 A young Melton boy contacted the Mounted Branch recently to express his love for all things policing including his wish to ride a horse to school and to be a Police Officer when he grows up. Xavier was the happiest boy in town when a recent visit by Leading Senior Constable Shaye SIDON and her horse gave the perfect opportunity for Xavier to pop down to the Police Station and meet in person. Good luck Xavier in your future endeavours and we hope to see you in years to come ...fulfilling your dream and patrolling the streets of Melton or even better joining the Victoria Police Mounted Branch. Thank you LSC SIDON and the Mounted Branch for making this happen.

There’s nothing wrong with exercising a bit of caution on the road while we all get used to being behind the wheel again.
