06.01.2022 Public Transport Keeping safe while travelling Travelling on public transport whether it be trains, buses or taxis should be a safe and comfortable experience. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. Inappropriate behaviour by anyone at all on public transport including taxi, buses and trains sometimes goes unreported by passengers. This could be because victims feel vulnerable due to it being their only method of transport, especially in smaller communities or towns. Th...is behaviour can take the form of sexual harassment or suggestion, inappropriate touching, verbal abuse, racial abuse and any type of bullying. If you have been a victim or have seen any inappropriate or unsociable behaviour, please report to Senior Constable SPROULL at Maryborough Police station on 5461 3300 or Crime Stoppers Victoria on 1800 333 000 or visit https://bddy.me/3kvvT0C for further transport safety tips.

Congratulations to all the winners and their families. Police have loved being a part of it and hope to continue this work in the new year.
