22.01.2022 *HEPBURN** On the 9th of December at 4:30PM First Constable Nick SMERDON of Creswick Police observed a silver Ford Falcon travelling at a fast rate of speed on Luttet Street, Creswick. F/C SMERDON intercepted the vehicle and conducted a Preliminary Breath Test on the driver which resulted in a positive reading. The driver refused to accompany police for an Evidentiary Breath Test, the consequence of which is a 2 year loss of license. ... The 63 year old male from Creswick was issued a notice of immediate suspension and has been summoned to appear at Ballarat Magistrate’s Court at a later date. Later the same day at 5:50PM F/C SMERDON observed a black Holden Commodore sedan travelling on Bald Hills Road. Checks confirmed that the driver had not held a license for almost 10 years after it had been disqualified at court. The 48 year old male from Creswick had his vehicle impounded for a period of 30 days at a cost of $1625 and has been summoned to appear at Ballarat Magistrate’s Court at a later date. 22.01.2022 WITNESS APPEAL BANNOCKBURN COLLISION On Saturday March 27 at approximately 1:45pm a minor collision occurred between two vehicles, a white Isuzu utility and a white BMW wagon. The collision occurred from the Geelong Ring Road, Bell Post Hill and along the Midland to Bannockburn. We are seeking assistance from members of public who may have witnessed the incident or have dash cam vision of the vehicles.... 14.01.2022 POLICE will be focused on caravan safety this weekend, as more people are expected to venture into the great outdoors for camping trips. With caravan parks and accommodation well-booked for the upcoming weekends, Ballarat and Moorabool Highway Patrol Senior Sergeant Stuart Gale said police would be ensuring people towing caravans, trailers and camper trailers were doing so safely.
