18.01.2022 ST KILDA MO BROS DONATION GROWS As Movember draws to a close, we wanted to celebrate the fundraising (and moustache growing!) efforts of the St Kilda Police Stations Mo Bros. Their team, 'Saints 900' have raised over $5,000 for the cause, placing them in 3rd place in the overall Victoria Police Movember Challenge. ... Detective Acting Sergeant Ishac, who has taken part in Movember for 9 years and is the St Kilda teams Captain, has personally raised over $4000 which places him as the 2nd highest individual fundraiser for Victoria Police in 2020! He and Detective Senior Constable Gibney, both pictured, took part in Movember as a step towards improving mental health and to reduce the rate of male suicide. 15.01.2022 THEFT IN CHADSTONE Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a theft. At approx. 3:30pm on the 22nd of November, 2020, two male offenders have entered a retail store in Chadstone. One male has distracted a member of staff whilst the other male has concealed a handbag worth $2650 into his personal bag, before leaving the store without paying.... Investigators have released an image of two men who may be able to assist with enquiries. 14.01.2022 Police have arrested a woman after they executed a search warrant in St Kilda this morning as part of Operation Spartan. Officers executed a search warrant at an address on Fitzroy Street where they seized approximately 41 grams of heroin which has a street value of more than $16,000. Police also seized more than $2,500 in cash. Operation Spartan continues in St Kilda with police focussed on detecting and deterring drug offending and volume crime in the local community.

13.01.2022 ROBBERY IN TOORAK Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a robbery that took place in Toorak. On Wednesday the 30th of September, at approx. 4:30pm a 14-year-old victim was walking to cricket practice when he was approached by two offenders who surrounded him. The offenders then grabbed the victims phone out of his hand. ... Offender 1 is described as male, Caucasian, tall, with curly hair, approx. 15-16 years old. Offender 2 is described as male, of African appearance, approx. 15-16 years old, wearing back ripped jeans and a black puffer jacket. 11.01.2022 OPERATION SPARTAN BUSTS SYNTHETIC CANNABIS SALES On Thursday the 12th of November, officers working Operation Spartan with the assistance of the Divisional Response Unit executed a search warrant at a convenience store on Fitzroy St, St Kilda. A later search was also conducted at an associated private residence.... Packets of 'synthetic cannabis' were seized, as well as sales records spanning a number of years. A male offender has been charged with negligently dealing with the proceeds of crime and selling psychoactive substances. This seizure will have an immediate positive impact on the local community in St Kilda. Operation Spartan will continue next week, and we will keep you all updated on our results.

07.01.2022 THE OTHER PANDEMIC Yesterday, officers from the Prahran Family Violence Investigation Unit donned their orange masks to signify the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Usually the officers would take part in the 'Walk Against Family Violence'. Although we couldn't walk together around Melbourne’s CBD like in previous years, we still wanted to raise awareness of family violence in our community by signifying the day in our own way.... The day aims to bring much-needed awareness to gender-based violence and challenging attitudes that support it. We understand that although restrictions are beginning to ease, some people may still be in vulnerable situations at home. 05.01.2022 OPERATION SPARTANS HEROIN BUST As part of their ongoing efforts to reduce drug related crime in St Kilda, this morning officers from the Operation Spartan taskforce executed a search warrant on Fitzroy Street. As a result a significant quantity of heroin with a street value of approximately $16,000 was seized.... A 59 year-old woman was arrested and will be charged with drug related offences and dealing with proceeds of crime. This week the Operation Spartan taskforce have charged six offenders and executed two search warrants. This brings the total number of arrests for Operation Spartan to 29. 03.01.2022 The offender gained entry to a construction site on St Kilda Road about 4.30pm on 15 November. Power tools and copper wire were stolen from the site, valued at $300,000. Anyone who knows the identity of the man or who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area between 13 and 16 November is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
