25.01.2022 Local police have received reports of suspect loiters within the Eynesbury Estate. These reports suggest that an unknown male has been approaching children and ...teenagers and, on some occasions, striking up a conversation. The male has been described as Caucasian in appearance, tall, slim build and in his mid-30s. While police are not investigating any criminal acts at this stage, they are appealing for further public information. It is imperative that all suspicious behaviour or vehicles are reported to police by calling Triple Zero (000). Unfortunately, police are unable to take reports via social media pages or groups. On Saturday 29 August, police spent the day patrolling the area both in marked and unmarked cars and utilising the Police Airwing to canvass surrounding bush land. Police will continue to monitor and investigate all reports and keep the community updated. If you have any information in relation to this investigation please contact F/C Joe HAMMERSLEY at Melton Police on 9747 7999 or alternatively Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

24.01.2022 With new restrictions being announced today it’s more important than ever to look after your mental health.

22.01.2022 What steps would you take in the event of a fire? Hint: Very big ones is not the answer!! Make a home fire escape plan. https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare/escape-plans

21.01.2022 Today is an historic day for fire services in Victoria. Today we welcome Fire Rescue Victoria as our new fire and emergency service partner. And today, CFA beco...mes a proudly volunteer fire service. We are skilled, determined and here to serve Victorians now and into the future. We are from the community and for the community. We are CFA. #CFAVic #OurCommunityOurCFA

21.01.2022 With all that is happening this year, it is more important than ever to look after each other. #RUOK #itsoktonotbeok

21.01.2022 On the 11th September 2001, 343 Firefighters went to work and never returned home. They ran into the World Trade Center doing their job, protecting and rescuing those in need. 60 Police Officers didn’t return home from that shift. 8 EMT/Paramedics heard their last call and didn’t return home.... Today we remember their bravery, their sacrifice and morn their loss.

21.01.2022 Santa has arrived and we are on track! See you soon Eynesbury

20.01.2022 We are all super excited for tomorrow’s Santa run. I hope all the children of Eynesbury can join us with the big man.

20.01.2022 Our members are pretty special people not only do they step-up and serve their local communities, they have a strong history of serving their country too. On ...this day 75 years ago the deadliest conflict in human history, World War II, came to an end. Hundreds of CFA members enlisted to serve their country and tragically, many never came home. Today we honour those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and the many more who returned and continued to proudly serve their state through CFA. We are forever grateful #VPDAY75 --- These photos show just a small selection of honour boards and memorials which feature in many CFA stations across Victoria.

20.01.2022 From our friends at Victoria police

19.01.2022 Hi Eynesbury, On Saturday 12th September 2020, 600 Firefighters and other Emergency Service Personnel would have stepped up to fight depression, PTSI and suicide by climbing the 28 floors of Crown Metropol Hotel wearing 25kgs of turnout gear and breathing apparatus BUT unfortunately the current COVID restrictions in Victoria prohibit this year’s event taking place as it normally would. During September and October, Scott, one of our Fire Fighters will be taking part in a mi...llion steps for mental health and helping to raise $500,000 to improve support services, fund research, remove stigmas and raise awareness of mental health issues. If you can donate, please help Scott Step up to fight depression, PTSI and suicide by sponsoring him below. Thanks to the event sponsors, 100% of every dollar donated will go to mental health. Head to https://www.firefighterclimb.org.au/climber/scottmulheran/ to donate.

18.01.2022 Please never use petrol or any other accelerant to start your BBQ, fire pit or camp fire.

18.01.2022 We would like to wish all the dads in the brigade and wider community a very Happy Father’s Day. Hope you have an amazing day with your families.

17.01.2022 CAUTION....Hi everyone, please do your best to clean this up ASAP. I appreciate it might be a bit of a pain however, it is highly flammable and will burn EXTREMELY fast. It won’t take much to ignite this material, I just conducted a burn test ( in a controlled environment) with just one strand and it basically dsintergrated into flames in seconds. Please be careful out there. Regards, Jim Cooper, Brigade Captain

16.01.2022 Have you discussed with your family what you would do if there was a fire in your home? Make sure you have a well-prepared and practiced home fire escape plan. Households who plan ahead have a better chance of a safe escape without panic. www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare/escape-plans

If you were unable to donate last Sunday we do still have the virtual tin shaking around right up till Good Friday! Massive thank you to local community members Jim Cooper and Garrick W. Oates on their donations, $500 donation from Jim and $310 from Garrick goes to show how much this appeal means to so many of us. ... 12.01.2022 If we can wear a mask all day on the fire ground.... you can wear one when you leave your house. Wear a mask, social distance and stop the spread.

12.01.2022 Daylight savings starts tomorrow at 2am. While you are changing your clocks it is the ideal time to check your smoke alarm. Test and clean around each detector.

12.01.2022 You should never wait to receive an official warning before you leave. Fires can start quickly and threaten homes and lives within minutes. Understand the levels of warnings and don’t expect warnings to be issues in any particular order. The first warning you could get could be an Emergency Warning. https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/warnings-restrict/about-warnings

10.01.2022 On behalf of the Eynesbury Fire Brigade, I’d like to welcome Fire Rescue Victoria, the newest fire service in Victoria. From midnight tonight, the MFB and staff from CFA stations will merge into the new single service Fire Rescue Victoria. Although there have been some reports in the media over the last few years of controversy, the Eynesbury Brigade has had a long history with career firefighters and look forward to working with, and continuing our relationship with the new agency. What does this mean for you, well very little, the volunteers from Eynesbury and other brigades will keep turning out, and the members from Fire Rescue Victoria will turn out and we will support each other as we always have.

09.01.2022 Everyone who comes to work, whether it be firey, ambo, police, we want to go home at the end of the day, and we don’t want something which would be a minor acc...ident at 40km/h to be a catastrophe at 80km/h, 90km/h or 100km/h. For emergency services workers, the roadside is part of the office. That’s why we’re asking everyone to think about their safety and slow to 40km/h when passing emergency services vehicles.

08.01.2022 There is a grass fire currently burning at Boundary road in Truganina/Tarniet. Smoke maybe visible from Eynesbury. Please avoid the area. 08.01.2022 Although the New Year’s Eve fireworks across Melbourne have been cancelled, this is not a good reason to have your own illegal display. Fireworks can very easily start grass and scrub fires as well as the possibility of causing injuries. We would like to spend the New Year with our families, so please leave the fireworks alone. If you are going out, please stay safe. https://news.cfa.vic.gov.au/-/don-t-ruin-the-party-with-ill
