23.01.2022 We hope all you Adelaidians fuelled up last week! If you’re in Brisbane - go now, there are still some great deals to be had. Sydney and Melbourne prices are still moving down and should hit their low point in the coming week or two.

19.01.2022 Helping you find the best fuel deals when you go from A to B.

17.01.2022 We love sharing good news here and here's some good news for Adelaide! The cheapest time for you to fuel up is NOW! For everyone else, looks like we're waiting for another 2 weeks until prices reduce. #WeeklyPriceUpdate

17.01.2022 Adelaide go now! Several locations have increased prices already so you'll have limited time to get the best deal. Brisbane go now! You may even have less time than Adelaide as many locations have now gone up to 147.9 on ULP. While it took longer for Melbourne to reach the bottom of the cycle, now's your time! If you're in Sydney though, it's back up to the top, with the majority of locations in the 140s for E10. There are still one or two locations south-west of the city at 103.9, so still worth checking the market for a great deal.

16.01.2022 Here's another #FuelFactFriday. Last month we talked about the differences in petrol types, but we can't forget about another popular type of fuel - the diesel. Here we just have standard diesel and premium diesel - there are no octane numbers to worry about! The difference is premium diesel has a detergent additive to keep your engine clean and in it's best operating condition. The best news is, in most cases, it's only 2cpl more than the standard variety.

16.01.2022 It's 1's across the board! While Adelaide has another week to go, not all is lost with many locations selling ULP at 99.9cpl, or lower in NE of the city. Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney are also another week off the bottom of the cycle. But what's been interesting is the price spread across these cities at the moment, so make sure you shop around! In Sydney right now, you can save $15 per fill if you know where to look and likewise in the other cities. Just one week to go!

16.01.2022 Today's a good day to check out where the best deals are closest to you!

16.01.2022 It's #FuelFactFriday at EzySt and today, we're kicking off this series with understanding petrol octane numbers. The fuel's number (91, 95, 98) you see describes the petrol's octane levels. It is an important property of the fuel, and higher is generally better - BUT only if your car can benefit from it! Some engines need 95 or 98, some 91, but will operate better on 95 or 98, and for some it will make no difference if it's 91, 95 or 98... Check the sticker near your fuel cap for the minimum required, then do some research to see if you can get more from 95 or 98.

15.01.2022 Time is running out in Adelaide, so now's your chance to fill up quick before prices increase by 40cpl in the coming days. Brisbane - you still have a couple of weeks until the best buying in your region, same goes for Melbourne and Sydney. The good news though is that most cities have big price spreads at the moment, so if you let your fingers do some searching, you could save up to 20cpl.

14.01.2022 Remarkable Friday news for our South Australian friends! Yesterday, the SA Parliament legislated REAL-TIME FUEL PRICING. If you're an existing user of EzySt, this isn't much news because you know that's what we already do *flips hair* but for everyone else, they're in for a real treat to find the best fuel deals regardless of what app they're on. What an awesome win for our thrifty deal-loving South Australians.

13.01.2022 It's a happy #FuelFactFriday! Have you ever thought about what happens if you fuel up your car with the wrong type of fuel? Putting petrol in a diesel car can cause major damage. If you realise this mistake while fueling up, DON'T START THE CAR! Let the attendant in the store know, put the car in neutral and push it to a safe spot. Call your vehicle service centre or mechanic and they'll help you from there. If your car has already started, stop in a safe spot as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Call your service centre or mechanic for more help. Putting diesel in a petrol car is less common due to the larger nozzle size and smaller filler neck. Although the effects are less severe than the first instance, you should avoid starting your car to prevent further damage. Have you ever put in the wrong fuel?

12.01.2022 Amongst the bad news for Melbourne and Sydney, there are still some bargains on fuel! Keep your eyes peeled for some locations selling ULP below 106.9c/L. You'll be snagging a deal saving you 40c/L or more! Talk about a winning start to the weekend. Adelaide, it's your time NOW. And for Brisbane, it could still be another 2 weeks before you get to the bottom of the cycle...

12.01.2022 We stand with everyone speaking up for equality in our world.

11.01.2022 You may be wondering why we don't have Perth on our weekly price updates... and no, we didn't forget you guys! It's because Perth's sales cycle is weekly (as opposed to monthly like the other cities), meaning the cheapest time for our Perth friends to fuel up at the moment is TUESDAY. For Melbourne and Adelaide, the wait is over and it's your turn this week! We hope you filled up in Brisbane last week, as it'll be another 2-3 weeks before the low point again.

11.01.2022 The cycle has been slow in Sydney and Melbourne, with another week or so off the low point. BUT south-west Sydney can still get E10 for 102.9! Brisbane's prices have recently gone up, so it's going to be a few weeks before you get the best prices. While Adelaide is at the halfway point, the city fringe still has prices around 108.9, and up in Prospect and Kilburn you'll see 101.9 and 102.9!

10.01.2022 Last chance for Sydney! Prices have started to rise, but still plenty of low prices around. In fact, there's 50cpl difference between the lowest and highest prices right now. If you're in Brisbane, you've probably got another week to the low point in the price cycle. Adelaide is much the same, but some quite low prices around Regency Park, Kilburn, Prospect and Croyden right now - good buying there! Melbourne has been a slow to move down over the last couple of weeks and is most likely still another one or two weeks away from the low point - hang in there guys...

09.01.2022 We hope our Melbourne friends are staying safe in the lockdown. While this coming week is probably your best time to fuel up, please abide by the government restrictions set out for your area. For Brisbane and Adelaide, it's likely to be another 2 weeks before you see prices at their lowest. Meanwhile, prices in Sydney have just started to go up - so go now - you'll only have a few days to buy petrol at the bottom of the price cycle!

08.01.2022 While filling up with higher octane fuel might give your engine a helping hand to work more efficiently, studies show it is not consistent across all cars. Why not test out this theory this weekend? Fuel up with one fuel and then with the other to see if you get any benefit. Keep in mind that the benefits of this depends on the sophistication of the car's engine management system. Sophisticated systems show improved performance, while cars with less smart systems typically won't benefit. Another #FuelFact clearing up car confusion!

08.01.2022 It's another yes and no answer to today's #FuelFact. While turning on the aircon can increase fuel usage, IF it's compared to rolling down the windows while you're driving down the highway, it can actually save more fuel by reducing drag (aerodynamics, physics, y'know all that smart stuff). However, if you're driving at inconsistent and slower speeds, rolling down the window would be a more fuel-efficient option to cool down. Now that's cleared, next FuelFact will cover how to maximise the effectiveness of your aircon!

07.01.2022 If you're in Adelaide or Brisbane, get in quick! Prices at many locations have started to go up already, but there are still some great deals around in both these cities. If you look around before you buy, it could save you up to $16 on an average fill! For Sydney and Melbourne, it's likely to be another 2 weeks before you hit the bottom of the price cycle. If you need fuel now, look around though as there's a spread of prices up to 15cpl in some areas.

05.01.2022 It's only ONE more week for Adelaide to get the best prices. Get in quick - Gepps Cross is close to $1/L, but the majority are in the $1.20s. Sydney is now at the top of the price cycle, as is Brisbane and Melbourne. So, hang in there guys... It's going to be a long wait until the best prices are available. It still pays have a good look around through, as there's quite often 20cpl difference between locations around most cities at the moment - this could be $10 in your pocket!

03.01.2022 Have you noticed on the EzySt app that the pins can look different for various stations? The strength of the shading represents our price confidence. While we take every effort to update fuel prices near real-time from our multiple sources, sometimes we just won't hear from a site in a while. Next time you're on the app, take a look around your area for the updated pins!

03.01.2022 This is a tricky #FuelFact because the answer is a yes AND no. If you're on a long, flat motorway, then the smoothness of being on cruise control means your car will drive more efficiently because you're saving on unnecessary acceleration and braking. However, using cruise control during regular road conditions will end up using more fuel than required because cruise control can't foresee that hill ahead, meaning it'll take up extra fuel to make that change. Look at your road conditions and decide if cruise control is the way to go.

02.01.2022 Save your favourite deal before you head out so you never forget to snag a good discount. Just click on the deal and heart it. You'll see it appear in your 'My Saved Deals' on the side bar ready to be pulled up anytime you're ready to use. Don't wait forever though as some deals wont last long! #EzyTips

02.01.2022 It's been a wild time for Melbourne in many ways, so hopefully you filled up last week! The same goes for Sydney too, it's going to be another 3 weeks until we hit the bottom for the price cycle there. Meanwhile for Brisbane and Adelaide, there are some much lower prices around and right now and we should see them go even lower over the course of next week.

02.01.2022 With everything happening in the world, don't let fueling up add to your stress.

01.01.2022 Sydney-siders, now is your time! ULP is down to 96.9cpl in the south-west today. Prices in Melbourne have been slow to move down with another week or two before the bottom of the cycle. There's another two weeks before Brisbane will see the lowest prices, but get in quick with Adelaide! 97.9cpl looks to be the best price today for ULP. It's still low around the east and northern suburbs, but it won't stick for long.
