08.01.2022 Hey friends How is your week going so far? I just got back from a mini holiday in Bali where I treated myself to a social media detox and it was heavenly. I can’t recommend it enough! It inspired me to share some tips about our good ole love-to-hate-hate-to-love frenemy Instagram. 1. Limit how many accounts you follow and stick to it! Whether it be 500, 300 or the recommended amount: 150, this is like digital minimalism: ensuring you are surrounding yourself with only your... absolute favourites. 2. Put more time and energy in your real-life connections then you do on social media. You want this to be an 80/20 ratio at all times. These are the relationships that really count, don’t neglect them. 3. Set a time limit. You can love social media, there’s nothing wrong with that, but do you still love it after unintentionally spending 5 hours on it in one day and neglecting the actual shit you needed to do? 4. Be intentional with who you follow. Turn this tool into a life hack.
