Intricate cleaning of the studio, door handles, fridge and all equipment after every session . Antibacterial Wipes available for wiping down equipment before and after use. . Hand Sanitiser is provided, so please use it . All Wet areas have antibacterial hand wash for your use . Gloves are available if you do not wish to touch anything . F45 will be programming classes omitting equipment that is harder to clean, limiting movement around the room, and with extra rest time to wipe down your equipment . . What we need from you (our members): . Bring a towel and use it to wipe down your equipment after use . Refrain from touching your face during a session . Toe taps snd elbow bumps at the end of class (no high fives) . Sanitise or Wash your hands before and after class . Please stay at home if you feel unwell or have any flu-like symptoms . . 18.01.2022 PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE DOING A WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE OR HAVE JUST FINISHED ONE.. . With the F45 Challenge finishing up for 2020 and many other fitness challenges, please remind yourself of a few key things to make sure you come out of it stronger . 1. ANY WEIGHT LOSS IS STILL A GREAT RESULT ... If you lost 1kg or 10kg, you still lost weight!! If you keep on that trajectory, you will keep improving each day. Isn’t that the goal ? . 2. WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGES ARE REALLY SHORT If you did an 6 or 8 week challenge, you still have 44 weeks of a year. And that’s just THIS year! . 3. IT’S NOT THE END IT’S JUST A CURRENT CHECK IN If you think of a challenge and how it’s set up, it’s really an arbitrary time frame which has been set - unless you have an event you’re aiming for. There is no reason why tomorrow your journey doesn’t continue. This is just a check in . 4. WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT A RACE Consistency is a much bigger factor in how much you weigh. I know challenges encourage big results quick (which I think is great!) but you don’t need to rush it ! These challenges will hold you accountable though . 5. IF YOU LOST WEIGHT AND ARE DISAPPOINTED, UNDERSTAND IT’S NOT BECAUSE YOUR GOAL WAS TOO BIG, IT WAS BECAUSE THE TIMEFRAME WAS TOO SHORT This is something I’ve mentioned a lot and will keep drilling into everyone. People get disappointed often because they only lost 5kg in 45 days.. if you keep progressing at that rate it’s 32kgs in a year! You’ve set your expectations too fast, not high. Head up and keep at it . 6. USE THE RESULTS TO ADJUST YOUR APPROACH Say you lost 2kgs. You know what you did to lose that now. If you want to lose weight a little faster, you now know you need to reduce calories from what you consumed. Use the data to make better decisions ! . Good luck with it all !! I just want everyone who has just come out of it excited and pumped to continue smashing it !! Together you forged you new friendships and the journey was a physical, mental and emotional boost. 14.01.2022 1 Always & forever fat loss starts & ends with a calorie deficit. It is *the* driver of fat loss. Eat fewer calories than you burn. . Youve heard it before & its fitness advice thats actually true: YOU CANT OUT TRAIN YOUR DIET!!! Focus on how many calories youre eating! Calories in Calories out .... 2 Protein Intake: In a calorie deficit, adequate protein helps you keep your muscle while losing fat. You want your muscle! To look good, perform better, age well & keep your metabolism revving . Protein helps you get full. Want to manage your hunger? Eat protein! . 3 Strength training: Remember protein Intake? This is its other half To keep (and perhaps build) muscle in a calorie deficit you need not just enough protein, you need to let your body know you need your muscle. Strength train with an eye on getting stronger over time. . 4 NEAT: Non exercise activity thermogenesis, its *way* underrated! NEAT is all of the activity you do outside of structured workouts. Which is most of your time btw. Little bits add up. Track your steps aiming for 8-12km. Walk to the office or park further away, take the stairs not the elevator etc. . 5 Sleep & stress management.
