23.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Push up clap: Why do we use plyometric movements in our workouts?? It’s simple, take these clap push ups as an example whilst we work in an explosive manner on this muscle group we are targeting we are now utilising quick twitch muscle fibres that we would other wise leave out just doing controlled tempo movements. This will increase power and strength.

Chantal’s grandmother is needing urgent surgery. ... Chantal is a selfless person who spends 99.9% of her spare time helping animals and giving back to the community. Now its our turn to help her. 21.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Just hanging out One great, effective and simple way to build grip strength is to just hang. Even working towards an accumulative 1:00 minute each day will help increase your grip strength benefiting the likes of deadlifts, rows and pull ups. ... This drill will also help to stretch out the lats and vertebrae of the spine in turn helping lat mobility and reducing daily built inflammation and compression in the spine. 16.01.2022 MEET OUR MEMBERS Name: Mark Craymer Occupation: Business Manager Lee Group Electrical How Long Have I been with F45 TC I joined back in February 2020 but there was a break in between with Covid till June.... What brought me to F45: My Son, Russell and Daughter, Grace kept nagging me to come along. My health wasn’t what it should be so I decided to give it a go! Favorite F45 Class: I enjoy Hollywood on Saturday mornings; it has a bit of everything Exercise I love: I kinda like Push Ups, but not the Tri-Cep ones! Exercise I hate: A bit like everyone else I have a passionate dislike for Burpees! Fun Fact about you: Not really a fun fact but something I’m proud of. When I joined F45 back in February, I was obese, (I was a Fatty!), I was on medication for Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and Nerve Pain. I was doing no exercise and eating all the wrong stuff, I was literally killing myself! Today, I am 12 Kilos lighter, I don’t have Diabetes anymore, nor do I have High Blood Pressure and the nerve pain is all gone! I attribute my new health and lifestyle to F45 and the support I get at every class. I am the fittest I’ve been in over 25 Years! Thanks F45! We’re so proud of Mark and couldn’t be more proud to be apart of his journey

What brought you to F45: I have always been interested in F45 and needed something more for my fitness instead of the normal gym life and F45 was it! I manage to get in both cardio and resistance and I love that about 45! Favourite F45 Class: Well i don’t really have one favourite I love everything cardio! I would say though Hollywood is a killer and such a good class to start your Saturday off right Exercise you love: Burpees Exercise you hate: Shoot throughs! Best part of TC: Definitely the community and the friendships you make while being there! The classes are so much fun and enjoyable and you have such a good laugh with everyone! 12.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Struggle with ankle mobility? Having difficulty evenly distributing weight through your feet in a squat or getting the depth you need? ... Chances are you may have an ankle mobility issue which will restrict knee travel. Give these two mobility drills a try on a regular basis to improve the movement in the joint. Focus within both drills to remain the heel in contact with the ground/box whilst applying pressure of the knee directly over the toes. See more

I have been apart of the TC community for around 4 years now, and proud owner for roughly 7 months. I have a beautiful 16 month old daughter Blake, 3 wonderful dogs (Teo,Ted and Miss), and an amazing partner Courtney whom greets all that come through the door (minus the AM sessions ) and deals with all things paperwork. ... I’m super passionate about creating positive change in both clients physical and mental states. I’m often referred to as a pelican and enjoy making people laugh. Even if it is at 5am. 11.01.2022 MOVEMENT OF THE DAY Sledge Hammer Lunges: Sometimes if your looking to challenge yourself, try to build off already well rounded movements instead of looking for new exercises. Take this jump lunge for example which already incorporates a heavy lower body load and great all rounded recruitment of the legs muscles. Simply by adding in a sledgehammer with a rotation we are now incorporating rotational core work and higher load upon our stabilising muscles with a constant m...oving force on the body of the hammer. Make sure to drive your hip all the way through to full extension at the top of that knee raise to ensure you’re getting the full benefits of turning on the glutes and building greater stability for those knees.

At the beginning of the year I struggled a lot with excess weight gain, putting on approximately 10kgs in 3 months, until Josh stepped in and helped me understand the body, and lead me to my passion and love of fitness. What I bring in addition to the TC community is not only an understanding of anatomy and hormonal changes in the body, but a first hand experi...ence that you can eat healthy and train everyday, yet still, hormones will play a very very big role in the human body, and when adjusted correctly, you WILL see results!
