07.01.2022 Let’s talk about sleep Did you know that the average adult requires at least 7 hours or more per night for optimum health and well-being? However studies show that 30% of adults do not get enough sleep. This is largely due to the digital era we live in, we are spending more and more time in the evenings scrolling on social media, watching tv, and working on our laptops. Below I have listed some helpful tips on minimizing your screen time and getting back into a healthy ...sleeping routine. Here are some tips on minimizing screen time before bed: - Pick a bedtime each night and stick to it. - 3 minute meditation before bedtime. - Pick up a journal and set goals for the next day/the week ahead. - Set a reminder on your phone for 1 hour before bedtime to power down or put away your device. - Pick up a book or magazine instead of a computer screen or phone. - Stretch in the evening before going to sleep, this gives your body a chance to relax and release any tension.
