24.01.2022 JANUARY- 2km Time trial challenge ! Got ten minutes ?! Coaches will be encouraging you to test yourself with our 2km row time trial either before or after class! This challenge will be running throughout the whole of Jan before we revisit in July! ... The rower requires a balance of both speed and strength which is the ultimate whole body workout and perfect way to measure our progress. Reaching that distance within a shorter amount of time requires long strong strokes using major muscles such as core, back, legs and upper body. We encourage ALL members to participate in our monthly fitness challenges as we continue to challenge and motivate each other

19.01.2022 I joined f45 because I was determined to improve both my physical and mental health. It has been just over 7 months now and I have lost over 13+ kg I could not have found a more supportive place to do this. I was very shy and uncoordinated when I first joined and the trainers would patiently show me how to do some of those tricky moves (hello shoot throughs) correctly until I got it. On top of this, every person I have been partnered with in class were always happy to help ...me. I believe that we have all the resources at our hands to make a better version of ourselves. F45 kelmscott demonstrates this by providing ; - The 6 week challenges to keep you motivated which include body scans - Heart rate monitor capabilities so you can track your results after each work out - Weekly work out challenges - Solid nutritional programs & advice from Coach Caitlyn My personal favourite part about going to F45 is that I legitimately find it fun so it has never felt like a chore and I've never had a bad work out. I would recommend F45 to anyone who is looking for a lifestyle change like me

14.01.2022 PRE CHALLENGE BODY SCANS The body scans for our next 45 Day F45 Challenge will be taking place TOMORROW 14th Jan ... Both AM and PM spots available- Please book in using your mindbody/F45 app. We highly recommend that all members complete body scans, even if you are not entering the F45 Challenge competition. Body scans are the most objective way to track your progress. They accurately measure and track: body fat mass & body fat % muscle mass visceral fat total body water bone mineral content key body measurements muscle balance body score fat and muscle targets & much more The scans provide exactly the information you need to keep focused, motivated and on track to reach your individual goals. So don't regret not having scans done as you will definitely want to look back at how far you've come - trust us, it's the second biggest regret, only behind not starting F45 sooner. Importantly, F45 Challenge participants must have a 'before' and 'after' body scan & ‘before’ and ‘after’ progress photos to be eligible to enter the F45 Challenge prize competition. The scans take just 1 minute - you only need to remove shoes and socks and the results are printed instantly. 08.01.2022 WHAT IS EXERCISE REGRESSION AND PROGRESSION An exercise regression is simply an approach to decrease the demand of an exercise or movement. Conversely, a progression does the opposite by increasing the demand incrementally through minor changes. Both can allow individuals to engage the desired muscle groups to continue building muscle and endurance while working to specific needs and abilities. A progression is any movement scale that increases the difficulty, range of motio...n, loading, or speed of the movement. An athlete may need a progression if their training is too easy. You don’t want them to become bored or complacent and they need to be pushing themselves in every session to advance. Regressions are the exact opposite simplifying movement patterns, decreasing range of motion, lessening load, or slowing things down. This can be useful if an athlete is struggling to perform the movement as prescribed for any number of reasons. If you have an injury or would like the extra push, let one of your trainers know before class and they will be more than happy to provide you with a progression or regression to our prescribed exercises! Perfect time for you to get a 5km - 10km walk/ run in each day (were allowed out for exercise which is only one hour of your day) No excuses team we got this - be safe & let’s get through this week so we can hopefully go back to our normal life by Saturday Once McGowan has made his next announcement on Friday we would be keen to run some extra classes over the weekend for you all - but again will keep you guys posted as we only know as much as you! 01.01.2022 #7: I joined with F45 Kelmscott after moving back to WA from VIC due to COVID, and all other gyms had closed. It was meant to be a way for me to keep active until things went back to normal, but with the vibe of each class, the awesome trainers and the banter, it was an easy decision to stay training here. Coming from a more traditional Olympic and power lifting background, going to class and being challenged in different ways each day has been really beneficial and changed my outlook on training. Plus, being ‘forced’ to train high intensity cardio has definitely helped my conditioning for gridiron @pacman_11
