18.01.2022 Repost from @peterday__ Something to think about team - have a read! I don’t find F45 that hard.... I’ve heard this statement before from people, and it’s complete bullsh*t.. . Like MOST types of training including running, body building, CrossFit, swimming, bootcamps, triathlons, whatever - it’s as hard as you make it . I find F45 hard. But I sure as hell can do a session in second gear and come out of there with my hair still neat if I want to . INTENSITY is the single hardest variable in your training which you can alter. It is really challenging to push yourself to near exhaustion, and the difference between training 90% and 100% is HUGE. Have you ever done the Playoffs before ? Most people would rather do a one hour Hollywood . This is a lazy mindset. I don’t want to pick on people who have said this, because generally they are quite fit, but try 4 sets of burpees 45 seconds at MAX effort with a 15 second rest and let me know how you feel (aim for 20 reps - it’s possible) . The purpose of HIIT is to push YOUR aerobic and anaerobic thresholds. Mine is going be different to yours, and getting yourself to that point will get you the benefits, this is where you lose fat/improve your conditioning . Even if you’re reading this and don’t do F45 but are feeling yourself plateau, it’s likely your intensity of the workout. It is HARD to push yourself to the point of being uncomfortable, but not impossible. Take it one session at a time, reassess where you’re at and GO FOR IT . Boundaries are made to be broken
