22.01.2022 Recently we were approached for a donation from one of the firefighters from the Narre Warren Fire Brigade, a fully volunteer fire brigade. Of course, we happily obliged. What surprised us was the amazing gratitude for such a small gesture. "My name is Brenton, a firefighter at Narre Warren Fire Brigade. Part of the Country Fire Authority in Victoria, Narre Warren is one of the busiest fire stations. A large call volume supporting two of the busiest stations in the newly form...ed Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Station 88 in Hallam and Station 92 in Cranbourne. Narre Warren attends almost 800 calls a year, from structure fire to road accident rescues. If this wasn't enough, Narre Warren also houses a catering support unit, which responds ad hoc to larger incidents and campaign fires, to provided firefighters with refreshments on their short periods of rest. With so much to deal with on the fire ground, we rarely have time to think about what's happening back home. That's where CENTSYS comes in. We are lucky enough to be able to utilise two CENTSYS D5-EVO sliding gate motors at our station. Every time the siren sounds and our pagers go off, we are able to attend the station and the CENTSYS gate motors have never missed a beat. Not only do we rely upon the CENTSYS gate motors to open up for the members going to various emergencies, we can rest assured that these gate motors will also close up and keep our property safe whilst we attend at all hours, often for hours. Our fire station may have a front pedestrian door, but we all know the gate is the real entrance.
