06.01.2022 2020 KNSW State Kart Championship Wrap. The Next Gen team welcomed our new team mate Jack Beeton for the weekend when we travelled south to Port Macquarie Kart... Club for the 2020 edition of the KNSW state championships. With the best in the state showing up in force we had our work cut out for us with 2 of our 3 drivers having never raced the circuit, the team took a positive attitude towards building over the weekend into Sunday, each driver set their fastest laps in the final. Rookie- Jack Beeton guided by Richie McLeod showed great determination, maturity, resilience and speed with over the weekend and finishing a creditable 6th in the final. Well done Jack and thank you for showing the team how to hold your head high during the most challenging circumstances. Tag 125 Heavy - Brett Shailes after overcoming a few hurdles during practice Brett moved forward through qualifying and each race to finish a great 4th place on track and later drop to 6th from a drop down penalty, considering this was his 3rd race in 17years proving to a lot of people what we have always known that he can drive well. P.S drop down bumpers weren’t around back then . Tag 125 Light - Shane Petersen showed the never give up positive attitude that we love in him, having some work to do after qualifying Shane moved forward through the heats with increasing pace in each heat Shane set his fastest lap in the final coming home 21st in a very strong field. Thank you to KNSW, Port Macquarie kart club the officials and volunteers for putting on a great meeting. Thank you to all in our team and our partners for the on going support.
