24.01.2022 The entire team at Fabric Solutions Australia wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will be shut from midday (today!), Friday the 20th of December and will reopen on the 6th of January 2020. Thank you for your support this year and we look forward to a great 2020.
24.01.2022 Much of Fabric Solutions Australia's strength and expertise is in the refurbishment of existing industrial tank installations; usually when liners have reached the end of life and need to be replaced so that the tank can continue operating. We are able to perform these types of installations all over Australia, for example, a recent installation in Tasmania for a major client. The tank itself was 9.0m in diameter and 8.81m high, making its storage capacity around 120,000 lit...res; a sizeable amount of storage that needs protecting. In this case the industrial tank stores demineralised water. Due to the nature of demineralised water, careful selection of the material must be made. Without proper analysis of the operating environment and thus selection of material, premature failure of the liner can occur which is an expensive proposition for everyone. The material chosen for this project was XR3, an industrial grade material that has a 100% performance record in these types of situations. While XR3 is used for the main lining of the tank, in many of these situations the roof is also lined, but is subject to slightly different operation conditions. As was the case for this project, and for this we utilised a 650gsm reinforced PVC liner. https://www.fabricsolutions.com.au/tank-liners/
22.01.2022 Our best work is the manufacture and installation of large commercial tank liners for new or refurbishing existing installations. We have recently completed a potable commercial water tank liner for the City Council of Lithgow, NSW. A 33 m dia x 5.6 m high tank with a conical base. Because the water will be used to service homes in the area, the material chosen is XR-3, a high quality liner used in large scale potable water applications. With a total capacity in excess of 5 m...illions litres a lot of material will be needed. In fact over 650 linear metres of material, weighing in at nearly 700 kgs. Plus this must be fabricated such that there is no leaks! Sections of the liner are fabricated at our factory and then joined onsite, section by section. Rigorous testing at the factory and during installation ensure no leaks occur. So while putting a liner into a water tank may sound straightforward, when a water tank is very large there are several aspects that need to be considered. Aside from the amount of material needed, working out how to get the equipment in and out of the tank can be a major undertaking in itself. installing a commercial tank liner Careful preparation is important. Internal ladders, sumps, pipes etc have to be planned for and installed around appropriately, otherwise leaks will occur. For more information commercial tank liners and what we can offer, please visit our Commercial Tank Liners page. We also manufacture residential tank liners and void and cavity liners for hidden tanks inside buildings. https://www.fabricsolutions.com.au/commercial-tank-liner-i/

21.01.2022 As the COVID-19 virus pandemic continues to unfold, the staff at Fabric Solutions Australia take the health of our staff, customers, suppliers and general public very seriously. Whilst we are still operating, we have been responding to the health crisis in the following ways: - Enacting regular cleaning of all surfaces and training of staff. - Ensuring good hygiene procedures are followed by all staff to the recommended government guidelines. - Stopping all ...face to face meetings unless absolutely necessary. - Allowing those staff that can, to work from home. - Forward planning if we have to partially or fully close. - All staff who show flu and cold like symptoms are instructed to stay at home. Production Capacity We are currently working at full capacity to fill orders as quickly as possible. However, this is a constantly changing situation, so while serving our customers’ needs is our main objective, we will not compromise the health and wellbeing of our staff. Customer Visits, Pickups and Courier Whilst we welcome customers visiting our factory and pickup of goods is still available, please don’t be offended that we won’t shake hands. We ask that the current government social distancing guidelines are also followed. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please make alternative pick up arrangements. Should you have any concerns or question, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Freight and courier pickups of goods will operate as normal as possible given the circumstances and is the preferred method as this minimises contact. Sales People and Maintenance Contractors While it has always been our policy that sales people and maintenance contractors make appointments before coming, at this time we ask that they please consider if visiting is absolutely necessary. Any unscheduled visit will not be accepted. Material Availability and Pricing We tend to keep a good amount of stock as a general rule, and stock levels were good before the effects of the COVID-19 virus came through. However, some of our material is sourced from overseas and the last couple of weeks has seen the Australian dollar fluctuate more than normal. We will make every effort to keep any prices rises to a minimum, but please be aware that price increases may be necessary in the future. By working together, we hope that we can get through this emergency as quickly and safely as possible. Regards, Rohanna Abberton General Manager
18.01.2022 Is your pool looking a little tired and in need of a make over? Now that winter is over and spring is here, it could be time to start looking at that pool renovation you’ve been putting off. Here are some pictures of a recent renovation using the "Pacific Waves" Acqua Di Lusso pool liner, a popular choice for pool renovations. This particular pool is 10.8m long and 5m wide with two steps, a long bench and a smaller seat at the deep end. All of which needed to be considered... when the new liner was made. To make sure there is a perfect fit, we use a specially designed 3D scanning laser to take accurate measurements of the pool shell shape including all steps and features. Our expert design team take this data and CAD draw your pool shape, it is checked and then computer cut from your choice of pattern from our range of 13 Acqua Di Lusso pool liners. As you can see from the photographs, the liner fits perfectly to the shape of the pool. It is worth noting though that in ground pool liners aren't DIY and must be fitted by a professional pool liner installer. So, if you haven't renovated your pool yet, now is the time to consider doing so as we head into summer, before the pool is back in demand!
15.01.2022 At Fabric Solutions we like to reward not only dedication and commitment, but those who take pride in their work. Friday saw Sean (right) and Taylor (left) being recognised for their excellent commitment to quality and workmanship. Manufacturing tank liners can be very demanding work. Both Sean and Taylor over the last 3 months have consistently maintained a high level of workmanship and attention to detail even under the pressure of tight deadlines. Both were rewarded with a $100 gift card and certificate, well done gentlemen!
14.01.2022 Every business seeks growth; for without it, a business becomes stagnant & can’t survive. However good growth is not without its challenges as production facilities & workforce become stretched. Fabric Solutions has been fortunate to see steady growth over the last few years, so much so, that our once Huge New Factory that we moved into 7 years ago is now too small. At peak times we are now beyond capacity, limiting our growth & ability to meet our customers’ needs in a tim...ely fashion. To address production issues & to continue servicing our customers, Fabric Solutions have been planning for the relocation to a larger facility, nearly twice the size in fact, which will allow us to continue to grow into the future. The new factory has been purpose built for our production needs, due for completion early 2020. Some features include: Larger production floor from 2400 m/2 to 4000 m/2 Dedicated production areas to improve efficiency Better amenities for employees Larger office space By investing in a new facility, Fabric Solutions can not only greatly increase production capacity as demand increases, but improve our existing production processes. Ultimately, it is our customers who will benefit as we are better able to serve their needs & demands.
13.01.2022 30,000 orders and counting! Fabric Solutions Australia has come a long way since starting in 2005 with just 4 staff. Over this time, our steady growth has culminated in the processing of our 30,000th order which is a huge milestone for the team at Fabric Solutions Australia. This great achievement could have only been accomplished by the hard work and dedication of all staff. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our valued customers. Next year will see Fabric Solutions Australia move into a new, larger factory which will see our capacity grow even further!
08.01.2022 Fabric Solutions Australia First Aid Training Day Training for our staff is important, and the most important skill our staff can have is first aid training. While we take great care to ensure a safe work environment, the potential for an accident is very real. So today Paradise First Aid came to our factory for our regular first aid training day. In all 8 participants took part to ensure that there is always at least someone with first aid training on staff at all times. ... The training was comprehensive, 8 hours in total and very hands on! At the end all participants are assessed by a written test and receive a certificate of competency. Our thanks goes out to Paradise First Aid for providing a very comprehensive and well presented course.
03.01.2022 Dear Valued Customers, our phones are currently down due to the rain from yesterday. If you need to contact us, please email as at [email protected] regards... FSA Team
01.01.2022 To help in the fight against Covid-19, Fabric Solutions Australia has successfully negotiated an agreement to manufacture under license a non-invasive ventilator hood system from Subsalve (USA), (https://www.subsalve.com/helmet ). Fabric Solutions Australia has appointed FloatPac Pty Ltd (https://www.floatpac.com/flexitank/oxygen-treatment-hoods), a long-standing strategic partner, as the exclusive sales and marketing entity for the hood. The oxygen hood can also be used in t...he treatment of other respiratory diseases and illnesses and is primarily used as a non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in the treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). More information about ARDS can be found at https://www.mayoclinic.org//a/symptoms-causes/syc-20355576 Why Non-Invasive Ventilators? Covid-19 patients who experience respiratory distress will more than likely require intubation or some ventilation support. As face masks are not recommended for use with Covid-19 patients, due to the risk of aerosolisation of the virus, a patient would typically then be intubated (as of March 2020 in the USA, https://www.uchicagomedicine.org//uchicago-medicine-doctor ). Outcomes for intubated patients in many countries have suggested a higher mortality rate (see for example https://www.rtmagazine.com//early-data-on-ventilated-covi/ or ). Contrast these outcomes to countries like Italy, who have been using non-invasive ventilation for decades as an intermediate step for managing patients. The use of oxygen hoods has shown a 25 to 40% reduction(https://www.uchicagomedicine.org//uchicago-medicine-doctor and https://www.uchicagomedicine.org//helmet-based-ventilation) in the need for invasive ventilation, thus reducing mortality rates and improving patient outcomes. Because the Covid-19 crisis has seen unprecedented demand for these types of ventilators, Fabric Solutions Australia has aligned with Floatpac and signed an agency agreement with Subsalve to meet this much needed demand. Subsalve’s design was in direct response to the Covid-19 crisis and they have drawn heavily on their experience with face masks in deep sea diving. Oxygen Treatment Standard Applications There are primarily two standard applications which our non-invasive ventilation hood can be used for. 1 - Oxygen treatment hood interfaced with a hospital wall system 2 - Oxygen treatment hood interfaced with a mechanical ventilator and BiPAP V60 We will upload more details about this new product shortly to our website.
