12.01.2022 Unfortunately in current times, many businesses have either had to cut back on their staffing levels or are trying to work out their obligations around reducing employee numbers so that they can survive. Yesterdays post highlights the (current) support from the Federal Government to try and help you keep your employees. The Queensland Government are in the process of rolling out a loan system which is also designed to support businesses keep employees, but sometimes it just ...is not possible. The Fairwork website is the go-to place for more detailed information in relation to redundancies, stand-downs, Government directed closure and more Head on over to https://www.fairwork.gov.au//coronavirus-and-australian-wo for all the details.

09.01.2022 The Government introduced a raft of changes again last night, which included the closure of some industries across the Nation. Included in the announcements was increased support packages for eligible businesses, the first of these has often been referred to in the media as a $100,000 grant to pay wages. Whilst that sounds awesome, the reality is not quite the same as the media hype. Yes, eligible businesses will get at least $20,000 and yes it is up to $100,000, but it is a...pplied as a credit to the ATO account and the amount is calculated based on the tax withheld from employee wages. The image below is a simplified fact sheet which we have produced to help people understand how it could work for them. If you are concerned about the viability of your business during these stressful times, we offer a free initial consult to help you understand what is available. Click the Book Now button on our Facebook page to book yours. We will continue to release information which we believe is of value to businesses to help them get through these challenging times. Please remember to like our Facebook page so you do not miss out. *Disclaimer: This information is general in nature and any errors or omissions are excluded.
