All sizes can go in your bin, however, if they are smaller than the size of your palm its best to follow these tips below: Place the clean lids/bottle tops inside a can of similar material if a magnet sticks to it, its steel. If not, its aluminium. ... Squeeze the can shut so the lids/bottle tops dont fall out. Dont forget to pop them in separately; dont leave them attached to the jar or bottle!

Here’s a few handy tips: A good idea is to have one drawer high humidity (closed vent), and one drawer low humidity (open vent). ... As a general rule, use the high humidity drawer for items that wilt like leafy vegetables or asparagus. Almost all fruits, and vegetables that rot, are usually best in the low humidity drawer. 13.01.2022 Ever noticed this symbol on items you buy? Its a plastics identification code to reveal the type of plastic used to make the product. It is not a symbol to indicate to recycle the product! In fact, it is designed for industry to help reprocess and separate plastics, not for consumers. Just because it has this symbol doesnt automatically mean it can be recycled.... Many items with this symbol are not actually accepted for recycling through your yellow top bin in WA such as plant pots, meat trays and toys. Please always follow the advice of your local council.

Just not in your yellow top bin. Bring your EPS to a drop-off point like Tamala Park, Balcatta Recycling Centre or Claw Environmental. The polystyrene will get a second chance at life, recycled into granules which are then reused to make other plastic products.... Last financial year Mindarie Regional Council, who operate Tamala Park, collected a staggering 18 tonnes - amazing considering it is so light! That's 18 tonnes that didn't go to landfill!
