25.01.2022 Feeling grateful There was a time, not very long ago, when we thought our business was over. That we'd never see a day like we did yesterday, ever again. ... And while we still haven't recovered fully, not even close... the last few weeks have given us hope that some day it might be possible. But it will take time and this experience has taught us to expect the unexpected and not take anything for granted. I know many small business owners are still hurting deeply. They are weighing up their options or have already bowed out. So while we celebrate this little win, we acknowledge that many are hurting. And badly. We send hugs to you In our case, we are so grateful to have this opportunity to continue doing what we love... to serve our wonderful customers with beautiful products that make people happy. Over the past couple of months we have hope we can keep doing it for some time yet. Next year the challenge will continue, of course. This 'thing' is far from over.

02.01.2022 This is way off topic, but maybe not so much in the circumstances... I know many of you are doing it really tough right now. As are we. I believe having something positive to focus on can really make a difference to mental health. If you already enjoy growing food at home, or if you're planning to start, I'd love if you would join my new group, Garden Harvest Club. Yep, we're brand spanking new. This is your chance to join at the 'grass roots' level. ... Over the past few weeks, I've been watching YouTube gardening channels like crazy. I've curated a range of videos and playlists on various gardening subjects, foods, general advice in preparing etc. and I'm sharing them here in this group. Over time, I hope the group will grow to include a dynamic community of friendly gardeners. But it has to start somewhere. Yes there are other garden groups out there. And you should join them too. But due to their size and/or location I've found some of them to lack a friendly community feel. And that's something I would like to be a part of. Because we don't have to do this "thing" alone. And we can turn a negative into a positive. Garden Harvest Club will also follow our own experience as we convert our boring backyard into (I hope) a bountiful garden harvest. Yes I'm an optimist. I've convinced my kids to help me make gardening videos for YouTube, so they can benefit from all this time we'll be spending at home and learn some life skills at the same time. Totally a mum thing to do. We've ordered a fence kit, which will be our first project to keep the dogs and ou growing space separate. I used to enjoy gardening, but since we moved house a few years ago, and with our business keeping me so busy, I didn't have time for it. Now... it's a different story. It seems we're all going to be spending a great deal of time at home for the next few months or possibly longer. It's hard to comprehend just how much this event will affect our lives, but it is what it is. The twilight zone. Let's make this a positive as best we can. Let's reconnect through gardening. Please join me, and invite your friends if you think they might enjoy it too. You can be a complete beginner, a lapsed gardener like me, or a raving fanatic. The greater the diversity, the better this group will be. There's never been a better time than now.
