24.01.2022 NATIVE WILDLIFE STATE OF EMERGENCY! Over the last few months there has been significant harmful impacts to wildlife, with entire ecosystems up in smoke and indi...vidual species affected. 3.5million hectares of bush has burnt in the recent fires. Animals already facing extinction are suffering more than ever. Entire ecological communities have been wiped off the face of the Earth. We need to rebuild. What is needed is a mass scale combined effort and it is needed now, not later. Many of the species affected were already at risk of extinction, such as Koalas, Brush-tailed Rock-wallabies, turtles, quolls and platypus. Entire populations and ecological communities have been entirely wiped off the face of the earth, some will never be what they once were. Aussie Ark works with Australias most threatened and imperilled wildlife. Aussie Ark raises the necessary funds to continue its ambitious vision of providing a long-term future for Australias threatened wildlife. Investment allows for the construction of captive facilities and predator proof fencing on large wild sanctuaries. Native wildlife conservation sanctuaries provide refuge, as well as source populations for rewilding and restoring Australias native ecosystems. Like and share this post to help us get the word out there. 23.01.2022 THE DINGO, Australias very own Top Order Predator PURCHASE HERE https://dingo-foundation.square....site//dawn-of-a-dingo-/66 -DAWN OF A DINGO DAY- BOOK RELEASE DAWN OF A DINGO DAY, written by Yosef Lasarow, is a short but concise work, adorned with beautiful photography, and filled with thought provoking material that every Australian should know. It takes an insightful look at the vital role the dingo plays in the Australian landscape and examines the consequences of removing such an animal from the system. Too little effort has been made to emphasise their ecological importance and to demonstrate that they are not dogs, but if the truth be finally told, the dingo qualifies as a top order trophic regulator, positioned at the uppermost point of the food chain, the rudder to the entire system, the captain of the ship, and the golden key to ecological harmony. This work also addresses the current livestock predation issues and argues that mandated dingo protection will not only lead towards ecological stabilisation but will also result in a lessening of livestock predation the more stable the system becomes. Finally, and in some ways most importantly, it strives to stimulate national awareness of yet another of Australias national treasures, an iconic gem, and most important ecological player. Grab your copy and discover the truth about one of the worlds most priceless animals in Australias very own back yard! PURCHASE HERE AVAILABLE ONLINE FROM The Australian Dingo Foundation for $10 https://dingo-foundation.square.site//dawn-of-a-dingo-/66 PROCEEDS Proceeds will be used to drive the dingo awareness campaign. Peggy was on hand to congratulate our Year 6 Save the Bilby flyer competition winners and share the story of how the Fund began. Year 6 students then headed to our Junior School classrooms to spread the message. Introducing the Lumholtzs and Bennet...ts Tree Kangaroo, only found in the Wet Tropics! Us mupees, as were known in the local indigenous dialect, live high in the rainforest canopy and are best described as a blend between the possum and the kangaroo, which evolved over 50 million years ago. 04.01.2022 Just dropping the kids off at school! Local photographer Paul Thomsen captured this beautiful moment of a male comb-crested jacana with his chicks at Yellow W...aters Billabong in the NT. The comb-crested jacana is an Australian native waterbird and can be spotted around Top End wetlands. Theyre also known as lotus birds or Jesus birds for their ability to seemingly walk on water. Male Jacanas are like stay-at-home dads, as the mother disappears after laying the eggs, leaving him to look after the chicks. When the father senses danger he will bundle his chicks up in his wings to carry them to safety. How cute!

01.01.2022 -HELP SUPPORT THE CAUSE-#savethedingo DAWN OF A DINGO DAY This is a jam packed booklet, visually stunning, with the most important information about dingos and... their role in the eco system, written by our managing director, Yosef. By buying this book you will not only be helping us fund this important mission, but you will gain vital information to share with friends and family, spreading awareness about our collapsing eco system and the essential role the dingo plays within it. Available from: The Australian Dingo Foundation Store at just $10. Link: https://dingo-foundation.square.site/s/shop Amazon as an e-book for $7.50 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08947LWHQ/ref=nav_timeline_asin Most Australians are unaware of the vital role the dingo plays within the Australian eco system, and this lack of knowledge has led to ecological chaos today. DAWN OF A DINGO DAY takes an in-depth look at this remarkable animal and exposes the truth of the matter, a reality which we cannot deny any longer if we want to restore ecological harmony, back into this land. DAWN OF A DINGO DAY by Yosef Lasarow Prior to the colonisation by the British in 1788, Australia was rich in biodiversity with a vibrant and thriving environment and its heartbeat sound and strong. The dingo reigned over the animal kingdom, and the Aboriginal first nation population lived in harmony with the land, understanding and honouring the rhythms and natural laws that govern all Earth. It was a Garden of Eden in a sense, simple and honest and true. The richness of the Australian natural landscape (which we can still behold in a few remaining places), is a direct product of masterful management in its ideal form. For the last two centuries, Australian governments and the livestock farming industry have targeted dingoes as the primary culprits of livestock predation and have gone to extreme lengths to safeguard the industry from them, hence the ongoing 1080 bating, shooting, trapping, and the infallible, five-thousand-kilometre dingo fence. Today, this relentless perseverance has led to ecological havoc as the system now spirals out of control and no one seems to know why? About the book DAWN OF A DINGO DAY is a short but concise work, adorned with beautiful photography, and filled with thought provoking material that every Australian should know. It was conceived through the shocking realisation that the Australian society, bar First Nation Peoples and a minuscule handful of passionate individuals, are oblivious to the dingo footprint, and the vital role they play, and that its ongoing persecution is the primary cause of Australias current eco crisis. It is with these concerns in mind that I have sketched a portrait of the dingo within the Australian landscape, demonstrating the dependence of the system on its presence, and highlighting, as a solution, that dingo protection is the golden key to the salvation of large sectors of the ecology. This work also addresses the current livestock predation issues and argues that mandated dingo protection will not only lead towards ecological stabilisation but will also result in a lessening of livestock predation the more stable the system becomes. Finally, and in some ways most importantly, it strives to stimulate (inter)national awareness, of yet another of Earths hidden iconic gems!!! About the Author Yosef Lasarow was born in South Africa in 1962 and has dedicated his life to a passionate search for truth and the purpose of life. After moving to Australia Yosef has dedicated the last ten years developing his eco-wildlife park, the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park, in Victoria. It was there that he discovered the masterful and essential ecomanagement skills of the dingo and the vital ecological role they play and have played for thousands of years on Australian soil. Quote from Lyn Watson, Director of the Australian Dingo Foundation This short work by Yosef Lasarow, an experienced tender of the earth, who has resettled here from another plundered land and for a relatively short time appreciated Australias unique forms of beauty, should shake us to our very inner foundations, because he sees with experienced eyes and heart. It is a book I wish I had written, but was always pressured by the immediate battle, put aside for when time was mine. After more than 30 years living closely with dingoes, I have comprehended the enormity of their nature given task. It will not be a laborious read. I truly commend it. Proceeds 65% to the AUSTRALIAN DINGO FOUNDATION to support the organisation in their goals to protect and conserve Australias only native Canid species. 35% to the GREAT OCEAN ROAD WILDLIFE PARK and DINGO AWARENESS CENTRE in support of the Dingo Awareness Campaign
