25.01.2022 Good morning Does wearing sunglasses prevent wrinkles around the eyes We all know that the primary purpose of wearing sunnies is shielding eyes from sunshine.... We all know that the skin around the eyes is very thin... imagine the thickness of 10 pieces of tissue paper. We all know that exposure to ultraviolet light breaks down the collagen and elastin fibers in the skin causing the skin to become weaker and less flexible the skin starts to sag and wrinkles appear, right? Wearing sunglasses not only prevents our eyes from squinting but also protects the skin from the intensive UV rays. So... the answer is YES. Do you always put your sunglasses on when you go outside... even on cloudy days? Please respond in the comments YES or NO. Enjoy your Sunday! #faceyogaclinic

23.01.2022 Are you ready to say bye-bye to this year? What a peculiar year it’s been... ...a total roller coaster of all kind of events and emotions...... ...wins and losses... ...excitements for celebrations and disappointments of no celebrations... ...joy and grief... ...sadness and happiness... ...doubts and hopes... WE have gone together through the ultimate spectrum of experiences... We reconsidered our life values. We reorganized our daily routines. We survived the unexpected surprises. We learned important life lessons... such as caring for others... But COVID-19 also taught us that, sometimes, by caring for yourself, you’re caring for others, too. We’ve gone back to basics... We learned the value of many little things that we used to take for granted... ...walking freely, meeting face to face, hugging loved ones, traveling whenever and wherever... Oh, what invaluable things these are! I strongly believe that sad and heavy energy will soon disappear and we will be ...enjoying our lives again, ...full of joy from being alive, ...meeting face to face, ...hugging each other, ...laughing with each other, ...able to travel and ...able to fulfill our bucket lists. It will get better. It must get better. Happy New Year! #happynewyear #byebye2020 #faceyogaclinic #faceconfidence #selfcare #agegracefully #over40 #loveyourself #selfacceptance #proaging #skinrejuvenation #facemuscles

20.01.2022 For many people jaw clenching, teeth grinding, headaches and tensed jaw is part of their daily life... What can you do to reverse this reality? Release tension! ... The Masseter’s need for some massage is often underestimated Masseter... the strongest muscle in the body based on its weight... it’s located behind the cheek muscles... one of the three muscles responsible for chewing and opening and closing mouth... So... how can you massage the Masseter? It’s incredibly easy, soothing and satisfying to self-massage this muscle. 1 Locate the muscle When you clench your teeth, you can feel its stiffness just on the underside of the cheekbone on the side of the face, about 3 cm in front of your ears. 2Acupressure push Use your knuckle or fingertip to press firmly inward and upwards in the spot. The acupressure push will release the tension and ache. 3Massage Massage the muscle whenever you feel tension even a couple of times a day if needed. Don’t be afraid to use firm pressure when kneading circles or massaging the Masseter muscle as this spot is sturdy. xo Martina

Do you celebrate and embrace each year, both for the triumphs and the hardships that it may bring? 12.01.2022 Good morning! Just got up and noticed the unusual line on my face... hmm... was sleeping on the side. The side sleeping position is very popular, comfortable and even good for those who snore. ... But for wrinkle worries? Not at all... especially as we age. Because we press down on our faces in the side position which results in causing facial creases and also causing the skin on our faces to expand over time. OOPS Do you sleep on your side Do you have these odd lines on your face when you wake up You don’t like them either, do you Well, then sleeping on your back might be the answer you’ve been looking for. It takes practice and it has some benefits worth training for: keeps your spine aligned reduces tension headaches helps chronic conditions by reducing pressure and compression relieves sinus buildup prevents face from creases, wrinkles, and irritated facial skin Sounds promising, doesn’t it? I’m going to give it a try. Are you? Enjoy the rest of the day. #faceyogaclinic

09.01.2022 Good morning! How do you feel when you look into a mirror? The connection between your inner and outer beauty may be fading... ... ‘I don’t like looking in a mirror anymore’ I often hear. We are one body, one soul and one mind. Everything is connected. Our thoughts and emotions are shown on our faces. When you pass a mirror next time stop look smile This simple act of self-love releases the feel-good hormones, endorphins, in our brains. They’re the body’s natural painkillers and as a result they make us feel more relaxed and at ease which adds up to more self-confidence. Try it and let me know how you felt straight after. Enjoy your Sunday!
